BACK AGAIN ! It's been a few years since my wife and I have checked out this farmers market...one of our favs. We moved to La Jolla just a couple of weeks ago after living in Orange County for 3 years. On Sunday we found a ( free ) parking spot in a side street and walked a short distance here. WOW ! The place looked much busier than years ago when we arrived around midday. NEW STUFF ! Of course we love finding new stuff particularly food. We had a nice chat with Max from Magnolia Kitchen and sampled some of this yummy looking cookies. The Espresso, Toffee, Chocolate & Sea Salt we later enjoyed at home tasted very good. LUNCH ! Kabuls Chicken ( Afghanistan cuisine ) looked like the perfect place to buy lunch. We chose 2 bowls of the grilled chicken with salad....it tasted fabulous. After that we cruised around a bit more before heading for...

LOOKIN' GOOD ! My wife and I were here last Sunday for the first time in years...we loved it. Now that we reside in La Jolla this farmers market is on our to do list. We arrived around 11am and it looked very packed out. After a big breakfast at Torrey Pines we weren't looking for lunch today. I dropped by to say hi to Max at Magnolia Kitchen...fabulous cookies. We basically wandered around checking out all the vendors. Top quality bread was on our list but we didn't find quite what we wanted. JEWELRY ! With our youngest grand daughter's birthday coming up my wife checked out Kamyi.Art Origami Designs. Julie the owner/ founder was very helpful. We selected a pair of pretty earrings and a lovely necklace. Julie was kind enough to place our purchase in a decorative bag. We paid by credit card and thanked Julie for her excellent service. STILL...

Plenty of prepared, hot food and produce options, and a lot of very neat artisan crafts for sale. A little pricey, but nothing out of the ordinary for the area. The vendors rotate, so there's always something new. Plenty of niche produce options if you're looking for mushroom varieties, microgreens, or something special. Large covered area with picnic tables for eating (usually crowded, but most folks are willing to share their table). This is located outside of an elementary school, and has a good playground for little ones, as well as light music. Parking is somewhat limited—the neighborhood behind the school has more parking, but your best bet is to get there early. If they're there, I recommend getting stuffed hashbrowns from The Brazilian Guys and a flavored lemonade from the...

If you ever find yourself in La Jolla on a Sunday, go straight to the farmers market. It’s every Sunday from 9–1, right on the 7300 block of Girard Ave (just follow the fresh flower smell and live music vibes). This market has everything—local produce, fresh flowers, handmade goods, coffee, pastries, and so many little gems you didn’t know you needed until you saw them. It’s one of my favorite weekend rituals—grab a fresh smoothie, wander the stalls, and people-watch in the sunshine. Bonus: it’s dog friendly and right near all the cute shops + brunch spots if you wanna make a whole morning of it. Tag someone who needs a Sunday reset with you here!

This bustling farmers market opens every Sunday morning and is a lively place to be. The outer ring of the market feels more like an arts fair, with numerous stalls selling handmade crafts and various goods. The layout can be a bit confusing at first, but as you venture further in, you'll find the produce section with a decent selection and some stalls offering samples. It would be great if there were more variety in vegetables. Additionally, there's a plethora of ready-to-eat food options like bread, juices, and dips, and you'll also find several food trucks. It's a vibrant spot worth exploring for both groceries and a taste of local creativity.

So this can be your perfect spot for lunch After a short hike along the magnificent Pacific shoreline. Arts and crafts are available and a variety of food stands will satisfy every palate: from pizza to grill, vegan and vegetarian options are available. There is a small sheltered siting area and a short walk away you can find a small playground for kids to run around. Prices are reasonable. Make sure you pay attention to the closing hours as at times 1pm is closing time.
