If you are going to Old Town you have to stop by at Miners Gems and Minerals 🫶🏻🤍 This place is a gem—literally and figuratively! From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by stunning crystals, fossils, minerals, and all kinds of unique stones. The selection is incredibly diverse, with everything from small polished stones to impressive geodes and rare specimens. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable—they’re happy to answer questions, share cool facts, and help you find exactly what you’re looking for (or something you didn’t even know you needed!). We went today 4th of July with my daughter who has found a love with stones; both Tracy and Casey (I hope I'm spelling they're name correctly) were extremely sweet and helpful with informing my daughter of the names of all her favorite stones 🤍 Whether you’re a collector, a crystal healer, or just someone who loves beautiful natural things, this store is a must-visit. It’s well-organized, peaceful, and you can tell everything is chosen with care.

If you have a family member who is a rock hound and screams with joy when they see and find rocks, then this is their Disneyland. The shop has a very well stock and selection of rocks and fossils. This shop is on par with those we have see in Montana on the dinosaurs trail. Some of the items are on the high tourist priced side, but they are unique, and for those rock lovers, they can find a special rock. Make sure to check out the fossil on both sides of the display when you first walk in. Also, there are some great affordable round rocks in the left corner from the main door that make for great addition to any collection.

I’m very surprised at all of the 5 star reviews for this store. The store is actually very beautiful with beautiful specimens and price points accurate for the location. I’ve been in this store at least 6 times. A few times with my family and while shopping alone. More often than not, the customer service is terrible. If your staff is too busy to answer questions about different gems, then hire someone who is friendly. I understand you are all ‘experts’ before you are sales people, but this is a retail environment. I bought my husband’s wedding band here, several gifts and we’ve used the panning station with my kids a few times. Each time I’ve been made to feel like i’m in the way. After using the panning station yesterday, my six year old wanted to know what all the gems were. We were familiar with most but there were maybe 8 we didn’t know. We went in and asked the man using the register. There was no line when we went up. He helped us for about 30 seconds identify 4 gems. Then the woman behind the counter handed him a piece of paper with a list of gems and said ‘just give them this.’ Then he went to help other customers. We won’t...

I'm no gemologist, but my friend is. Through my eyes, Miner's Gems and Minerals is a great tourist trap. Fun to walk around in and see all the little odds and ends, and nice workers in funny costumes help you. BUT in my friends eyes it is heaven. Don't let the Old-timey costumes fool you, they aren't just nice they are knowledgeable!!!! This place is run by actual gemologists. The gems and jewelery are all real and gorgeous. They are down to earth and honest. My friend has been dealing with them for years and it's the first place she goes to when she needs her gem fix. The place is jammed packed with gems. Take the time to walk through and stare into these beauties. Definitely worth it when I'm old town. If you have questions on what you're looking at all the workers actually KNOW what they are talking about. Come on down and take a pretty home with you. You'll be surprised at what you might...
