Could be cleaner, but as long as we the people let the lack of leadership occur we all get to live in filth with potential harm. With our open-air asylums somehow we have come to believe this is okay. Frankly, i'm getting tired of keep cleaning up the constant piles of trash everywhere along the beach, and in the park because of the mentally deranged who occupy these areas. I have pity for them, but not to the extent that they should be ruining our environment. They deserve better treatment, which does not include being in our public spaces or our children play, and we pay much in taxes to otherwise maintain and live. We are overdue for real solutions, not these fantasy ideas that these people are just homeless so we should let them defacate and trash what little we have remaining of the natural habitat and parks. Those people who need help and are capable, yes, we help them immediately get back on their feet. The majority of these people have mental problems, drug addictions (repeating myself), and other unfortunate disabilities that render them unable to honor the social contract the rest of us are honorbound to abide by. They live in squalor because we allow it! Some idiot politician said this is freedom, no, this is not so as it violates or laws. Lets bring back decency and...
Read moreRob Field Park has a very well maintained skateboard park. It's also frequented by razor scooters, inline skaters and roller skates as well. There are several baseball / softball fields. There are large open grassy areas where many different field sports are played. There are also large fenced in tennis courts where tennis is taught and played. It's located in a very convenient area along the San Diego River with great views and nice paved trails along the river that reach from Ocean Beach 🏖️ to the Mission Valley shopping areas. There is electrical and conventional bicyclers, joggers as well as people on casual strolls utilizing these trails. The park conveniently located along San Diego River. Near Mission Bay, South Pacific Beach, and almost directly across from SeaWorld. If you're around late enough on weekends you can catch the firework display from SeaWorld right...
Read moreReview is for the skatepark only. Still another great concept that's poorly executed. While there's no one overwhelming flaw, the many little flaws ruin this park. A low grade concrete was used on the transitions and is now degraded to the point of being as rough as asphalt. A fall may cost you a sizable amount of skin. The transitions are a bit tight and inconsistent. The coping is set unevenly. There is nothing over 4 and a half feet. I had to pump real hard to make the coping and roll outs just weren't going to happen. I'm sure with time I could find the right timing and line to make this work. I will skate this again only with larger, softer wheels. In spite of rating this a 3, I think it's worth checking out for yourself, especially if you have time to fit in visits to other...
