I found reUnify Yoga after Heart Yoga moved out of San Diego last summer. I was so connected to Heart Yoga, and decided to try to find a new home for yoga to regain my center. In a yoga studio, I appreciate the asanas, but also the chanting, breath work, a loving and welcoming sangha, and the mind-body connection. I planned to try a few until I found one that felt right. I first tried Indie Yoga and enjoyed the classes, but found parking to be difficult. The next studio I tried was reUnify. It took me a little bit to warm up because I missed Heart Yoga and felt so connected to that community. I still do classes online at Heart Yoga here and there, but I have found a new home at reUnify in Ocean Beach. There are many teachers (Rusty, Angelica, Nikki, John, Pat, Kat, & Henry to name a few), many different styles of yoga (hatha, vinyasa, warm vinyasa, yin, & sound healing), and many classes offered daily (6am til 7pm). There are also three different locations in OB so you can participate in the quaint and cozy studio on Bacon, the warm sun deck studio on Voltaire, or beautiful studio with a sky light on Voltaire. I also really appreciate the loving and open community at reUnify. This place offers the mind-body connection, a loving and welcoming sangha, a strong breath work practice, chanting, and a strong asana flow. One aspect that I greatly appreciate is the ability to flow at my own pace and rhythm as this is welcome in class. As a long time yoga student, it's wonderful to flow as I feel the dance of yoga in my mind, body, and breath. I've been practicing here since last August and I'm happy to have found a warm and loving yoga...

I moved back to San Diego a month ago, and it’s my first time actually living in the Ob / Point Loma area. These last few months of my life have been very transitional. It’s consisted of a lot of healing and a lot of learning - mentally, spiritually, emotionally. I wanted to find a studio that will help me continue on this new and beautiful path. Something to help me to continue to align myself with everything I am. Something to allow me to deepen the connection I have with my body and soul.
I read great reviews for the studio, checked it out and loved the aesthetic and space, so decided to buy a membership and give it a go. My first class (Yin) I cried. I cried hard for 45 minutes straight and in those moments, healed from things that had been built in me for twenty something years. I forgave myself for things I never was once able to.
The people at reunify are beautiful and it’s a place I never want to leave. I feel a sense of belonging, a sense of community. Both the instructors and those practicing with me… it’s a healing space in every way possible. The culture is abundant and I’m so excited to see where this journey with reunify will lead me. Seriously, thank you so so much for creating a space for vulnerability, connection, and everything in...
Read moreBrent Honnerlaw and reUnify offered such a lovely storytelling and spiritual experience Friday morning 5/6/22. I'm usually hesitant about any drop in classes while on vacation but I am grateful we both agreed on this one. While others practiced yoga, I took the opportunity to meditate while Brent shared stories of Krishna. My friend and I discussed the stories afterwards and the one I enjoyed the most was about Krishna and the river snake. It reminded me of a Bodhisattva vow: "Greed, anger, ignorance, and fear rise endlessly, I vow to recognize and transform them"
The music (instrumental and digital) was also healing. Would recommend Brent Honnerlaw for those with storytelling/educational/philosophical interests. Reunify is an intimate space and they provide a variety of different...
