   Read moreI participated in the Light the Night Walk benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the brand new China Basin Park. At night it was stunning seeing the lights on the bay, Oracle Arena and much more. The next morning we walked there to see it in the daytime. This new park is lovely. There are several grassy areas, a nice wide walk/cycle path that is on the perimeter (right next to the shoreline) an inviting sandy beach area with bright red Adirondack chairs to sit. The bathrooms (non-gender) are large and clean. We spotted so many people walking their dogs, pushing strollers and cycling.    Read moreThis park really surprised me. I didnât have high expectations for a park in the middle of concrete jungle but China Basin Park is a really thoughtfully constructed urban park. Plenty of different seating options throughout the park including a mini beach overlooking the port. Itâs so peaceful and the perfect place to grab a quiet moment alone or catch up with friends. While sitting on the âbeachâ I spotted birds and even a sea lion! Plenty of paved pathways for running/walking as well.
