This place is awful. Do not come here.
I came in for a gel manicure and for a previous grown out gel manicure to be taken off.
They were rushing me like crazy. I didn't have time to pick out a color so I went with the first color I saw after approximately 1 minute of looking and three different occasions of the same woman asking me if I had picked out a color.
The manicurist scraped the f**k out of my nails. Much more than necessary. All of the polish was off my nails and she was still scraping much more than I've ever experienced in the past.
All of the other women were getting cuticle oil and things to help with their manicure. Things that usually come standard when you get a manicure from my experience. But for some reason I didn't get anything and was having my nails and cuticles scraped over and over again with no kind of additional lubrication.
The polish is pooled at my cuticles and spilling over on to my skin. Some parts of my nails don't even have polish on them.
After the polish had dried, she came back over the sides of the nails with more scraping. Which I am very confused about because now my polish is scraped on the side.
When it was time to pay, I paid in cash with no tip. I felt really bad about this, as I always tip. In fact, I think this is the first time I've not tipped for a service! But I felt like I was messed with and rushed out for some reason and had no idea why. So when I paid, the manicurist looked at it and said "No tip?!". I gave her a chance to explain saying that I thought she was trying to rush me out and that I didn't get basic services that other women were getting at the same time. I also mentioned that I thought it didn't look good and that she really messed with my nails. She just looked at me and said something of the sorts of "okay, whatever". So I'm not sure what to make of that. Either she knew she did a crappy job, or she just doesn't care.
I may have just gotten a dud as far as a manicurist goes, but I had an awful experience here and wouldn't recommend...
Read moreMy recent visit to Amazing Nails left me disheartened, prompting me to share my experience for the benefit of others.
Upon entering, it was impossible to ignore the glaring discrepancies in treatment based on factors such as age and ethnicity. The staff appeared notably more accommodating to certain customers, while I, a younger person from a different ethnic background, received markedly different and, frankly, disappointing service. Despite a simple request to soak off my dip nails, the technician repeatedly attempted to scrape my nails, seemingly disregarding my clear instructions. When they finally listened, they seemed rude and annoyed about needing to use standard materials for this process.
Adding to the frustration was an extended wait, with an individual who arrived after me receiving complete service before I did. What struck me was the inconsistency – multiple people asked for the same service, yet the worker only expressed complaints about the process when it came to my treatment.
Furthermore, the pricing issue compounded my dissatisfaction. I was initially told the service would cost $15 over the phone for dip nail removal, but upon completion, I was charged $20. This lack of transparency in pricing was both unexpected and disappointing.
The discriminatory treatment based on age and ethnicity was unmistakable, as evidenced by the workers' differential behavior towards various customers. It's disheartening to believe that racism and ageism played a role in shaping my experience.
In light of this, I hope my feedback prompts positive change within the establishment, fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment for...
Read moreFirst time here and I thought service was great. Came back for a second time and it was great till they starting to talking bushitt and they had no idea that I'm vietnamese and am fluent in the language and can totally understand what the hell they were saying. Also did I mention the translation was hella wrong when I told them the issue with my nails. Firstly I am not complaining about what your employee did last time I came but I am telling you what is the condition of my nails. Secondly I am not saying you dont know how to do your job I am just pointing out what my nails condition is. Even a doctor cant tell you about your condition if you don't tell him your symptoms. Never ever came back here no matter how desperate I am for a spa time. Ladies I paid you to do my nails not for you to criticizing me on how I want it. Whether my nails is long or not it's none of your damn business. As well as I already told you that my nails are very sensitive because the false nails have just been taken off and one of my nails broke so there was a deep chip so please be gentle and y'all did not do that. Oh and thank so much for charging me the GEL FULL SET PRICE WHEN I DID...
