Embrace Spa Rituals: Dive into the whole Kabuki experience.

Try Cold Plunge: Invigorate with a refreshing dip.

Explore Every Section: Discover all the spa has to offer.

Don’t Be Weird: Respect others' space and comfort.

Take Time to Cool Down: Balance the heat with relaxation.

Respect the Quiet Space: Embrace the tranquil ambiance.

Go for Ramen Afterward: Complete your day with nearby cuisine.

Don’t leave valuables in your car on the street!!!

Enchanting Escape at Kabuki Springs Spa, San Francisco, continued:

A Welcoming Prelude: As soon as you step in, the charismatic Mikal greets you, whisking you away into a world where the city's hustle fades into a distant murmur. The spa's ambiance is a symphony of soft lighting and melodic tunes, immediately enveloping you in its serene embrace.

A Symphony of Senses: Every corner of the spa speaks of meticulous care, adorned in an elegant tapestry of earthy tones and textures. The air is perfumed with a subtle, calming scent, setting the stage for an invigorating journey.

An Oasis of Comfort: The communal bathing area is a marvel - a fusion of tradition and luxury. Imagine settling into the embrace of warm, open showers or finding solace in the semi-private stalls, all while surrounded by a cornucopia of spa delights.

Hot Tub Bliss: Drift into a state of euphoria in the large, pristine hot tub. Its soothing waters, free from chemical caresses, offer a warm hug at a perfect 105 degrees.

The Thrilling Cold Plunge: In the heart of the spa lies the exhilarating cold plunge. Daring at 40-45 degrees, it's a plunge into invigoration, a dance of heat and chill that awakens every fiber of your being.

Steam Room Enigma: As you step into the steam room, the world transforms. The steam weaves a thick, mysterious veil while the salt scrubs whisper secrets of rejuvenation. Here, in this misty haven, time pauses.

Dry Sauna Serenity: The dry sauna is a sanctuary of tranquility. It's a wooden temple where silence speaks volumes, and the heat tenderly whispers tales of old.

Nooks of Nirvana: After the intensity of heat and cold, find your haven in the relaxation areas. Sip on citrus-infused water, feel the cool kiss of iced face towels, and let your thoughts drift in this serene repose.

Unparalleled Value: Your time here is only bound by the closing hours and the limits of your indulgence. It's a sanctuary where each moment is a treasure, each sensation a priceless gem.

An Ethereal Experience: Rating this haven of tranquility is a challenge. It's a 6/5 - an otherworldly delight that transcends mere stars.

A Legacy of Harmony: For over five decades, this Japantown jewel has been a bastion of balance and inner peace. It's more than a spa;...

I traveled over two hours from Sacramento into San Francisco to use a gift card I received for a massage at this spa, excited for a relaxing day and to enjoy the full range of amenities like the sauna and spa areas. Unfortunately, my experience was dampened by a lack of communication during booking and a disappointing interaction with the front desk.

While I was being helped by the lovely staff member assisting with the Bliss Private Bath, I learned that the spa amenities are only available to women on certain days due to gender-specific scheduling. Had I been told this when I booked my massage, I absolutely would have chosen a different day to visit. After traveling such a long distance, it was frustrating to find out — only once I was already there — that I wouldn’t be able to access the full experience.

When I mentioned this to the front desk afterward, the staff member looked at me as though I should have already known. There was no apology, no concern, and no recognition of how this might affect a first-time guest. I suggested that they ask customers during booking whether they've visited before so that important information like this can be shared proactively, but the staff member seemed surprised I’d even expect that level of service.

To be fair, my massage therapist was absolutely wonderful — skilled, professional, and calming. The woman assisting with the Bliss Bath was also kind and helpful. They made me feel welcomed and cared for, and I really appreciated that part of the experience.

It’s unfortunate that poor communication and an unhelpful attitude at the front desk left a negative impression. With better booking practices and more thoughtful customer service, this could have been a truly...

I visited Kabuki Spa to celebrate my 32nd birthday and booked both a facial and an 80-minute Swedish massage. This was my first time booking a longer massage, and I was really looking forward to getting focused work on certain areas of my body. Unfortunately, my experience with the massage was incredibly disappointing.

During the session, the massage therapist barely addressed the areas I specifically requested. The massage felt unfocused and ineffective, making it feel like a waste of time and money. I later found out that the therapist had an allergic reaction mid-massage, which I wasn’t aware of at the time. While I understand that emergencies happen, the fact remains that I did not receive the service I paid for.

At the end of my visit, the spa offered me a discount, bringing the price from $185 to $145, but this did not feel like an adequate resolution. I paid for an 80-minute therapeutic experience and did not receive that. Given the circumstances, I believe the fair thing to do would have been to remove the massage from my bill entirely.

On a positive note, my facial was fantastic, and I enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. However, the way the staff handled the massage situation left a bad impression, especially on what was supposed to be a special occasion. I wish they had taken more accountability for the situation and remove the massage or offered me to come in a separate day to get the message experience I wanted. Unfortunately, this experience put a damper on my birthday, and I’m not sure I...
