Mi Yucatan — Restaurant in San Francisco

CAUTION ⚠️ This place is both "Ariel's Cafe" & "Mi Yucatan" same cooks same restaurant under the same roof just running 2 different names.

This place is actually two differently named restaurants in one, which as a customer feels quite deceiving because I have been to this place before (Mi Yukatan) once & my experience was horrible and I would have never came back. However, I thought I was ordering online at a new restaurant (Ariel's Cafe)turns out it's the same restaurant just two different names under the same address.

I don't even think it is legal to house two separate restaurant business entities with two separate names running in the same establishment- IDK it seems like cheating the system because for one how are the county health department inspections and city permits etc.

Oh, and yes my experience and food was equally as bad this time as well, unfortunately, I had prepaid so...

I checked Google maps and it said the place closed at 8pm. I called at 650pm and placed a take out order. He said 15 minutes so I arrived at 705pm only to find the door said they closed at 7pm. I knocked and a guy in an apron looked at me and walked to the kitchen. I knocked again. 2 men who I thought were patrons started laughing and I saw them finish their food and also walk back to the kitchen. I knocked again and the guy tried to wave me off. I knocked for a final time and he came to the door yelling. I told him I ordered on the phone. At this point, it’s 730pm. He let me in and I paid for the food. I noticed he charged me $21.99 despite the menu saying $18.99. For undercooked potatoes, 2 pieces of chicken with a wing tip, is never come back. Disintegrating tortillas were just a slap...

I'm writing a review because I am missing their fresh, housemade corn tortillas and carne asada. I haven't been to them since before the pandemic, and I even moved out of the area since then. But I need to retroactively give them a 5 stars because I'm day dreaming about those tortillas! I know El Farolito and La Taqueria are down the street, but if yall want plated Mexican food with quality tortillas and meat with table service from kind...
