I guess I'll be the first to review this place.
I came here because I had some groupon bucks, and found an hour deal for $33. I love massages, and was going to be in San Jose, so I thought it'd be a great time to try a Thai massage.
When I first tried making an appointment, the person on the other end of the phone didn't really speak English, and she ended up hanging up on me. I was like ten minutes away, so I decided just to show up in person to see if they would be able to accommodate me as a walk-in customer.
When I came in, there definitely was a language barrier, but the receptionist handed me a handout to fill in some basic information and where I'd like them to focus on my body. I explained that I was there for the groupon as well, and they accepted it without a problem.
The massage itsself was really good. Prior to this, I've only gotten those cheap $20 hour-long foot massages and never anything particularly special. They actually do walk on your back and legs, and they really do end up spending a lot of time working the parts that you specified on the handout that they give you before the massage (My upper back was particularly sore, and it was nice that they spent a lot of time in that area).
I would definitely come back here for the groupon price, but I'm pretty hesitant on paying the full price for the hour massage. Also, for the Thai Massage, you can keep all of your clothes on, but bring clothes that you can stretch in, or it might be a little uncomfortable. They also offer deep-tissue massages, but I can't...
Read moreBest Thai massage in San Jose. I treated my sister and I to a 1-hour traditional Thai massage.
I wanted less stretching, so I chose Pairin's massage therapist with the strongest pressure, Cathy. I was advised to go medium-strong instead of my usual strong pressure request. This was great advice! Cathy has very powerful, diligent hands and feet, and while the pressure at times was intense, Cathy always checked in to see how I was doing and how she could make the massage more comfortable.
A nice big basket for your belongings, comfy slippers, and a clean restroom are all little touches to a perfect establishment, including great service from the front desk in scheduling and intake. The areas in the form (neck, shoulders, lower back, and calves) were aptly and thoroughly addressed. I've already been here a handful of times and will gladly return.
At $80 it is one of the more pricier massages but the effectiveness of the therapy is worth every penny. If you can, treat yourself here every now and then instead of the cheap foot massage places that do not hit the spot. Happy to tip $20 for a phenomenal massage; my sister was happy with her provider also...
Read moreI’m a regular at Parin Thai massage. I always see Jill. She is amazing, kind, strong … did I mention amazing? I had never been to a Thai massage before here. From the very first time I saw her, she knew just how to heal my body. I think sometimes Jill is able to Inuit what is missing and give me what I need. The massage feels great and you feel better the next day. Jill is so amazingly kind and thoughtful. I always feel she goes out of her way to make sure I’m cared for. Thank you so much Jill!
Everyone here is super nice, the owner Tal. The sweet lady at the reception. They always try to give me the room I like and they know Jill is my favorite and always set me up with her.
I couple of times I couldn’t get a booking and I’ve tried other places and I’m always reminded how great Parin Thai is. The lighting is just right, good Music , the table feels good, you put your head through and can breath and see the floor. The actual place is small but it feels cozy and they really took a lot of care in making the place hospitable. I will be seeing them soon. ...
