The service is horrible here. first the waiters didn’t come to welcome us until we sat there for 20 minutes. Then after we finished a dish, the plates were empty and we stacked the empty plates on top of each other. Three waiters saw them but just ignored. They asked the tables besides us how the food is, is everything OK, not mention to say they asked us, but they JUST ignore our empty dirty plates on our table! Finally I asked a waiter to come to take them away. Then at that moment I totally lost my appetite so I didn’t finish my shrimp & broccoli dish and asked for box from a waiter, but another waiter came to give me box. Then I realized why the service is soooo bad - they share the tips so everyone is hanging out and try their best to ignore us. One of the Chinese waitresses with small eyes and pigtail kept on glaring at me and our table but kept on ignoring the dirty dishes, and guess what? When I got the check and signed it, before we stood up, she ran over in a rush and picked up the bill, and said a very fake thank you. I’m like, are you serious?! And I just ignored her. I knew she wanted to unfold the bill and chase behind me for good tip if I didn’t give that. Omg! How cheap! Maybe that’s why she can only work in a restaurant as a cheap waitress for her whole life! It’s just so gross that she didn’t serve us at all but came to grab the bill like a robber at last! I’m not paying another visit any more, the service only made me sick and the food sucks too! The churrasco in udon soup was totally burned and the shrimp were soaked in a lot of sodium and made me very thirsty after eating it. It was such a bad Sunday dinner experience at the beautiful city San Juan and I can’t understand why the waiters and waitresses in this restaurant have to be such racists - yes I’m Chinese, and I give good tips to you cheap people, don’t you feel...
Read moreWhen we walked in we were greeted by a waiter right away, and we were seated quickly too. But then hell broke loose and froze over from there. Our server brought us our water and in one of the glasses was a dead fly. I mean how did it get down in there. Was it alive before it got drown in the water or was it dead for a long time and it somehow got in there. When we informed the server, she acted like it was a daily common occurrence as evidenced by flat affect/emotionless face. After a long while, the server came over to take our order, even though the restaurant was not that busy with plenty of staff. When we got our food, the food was as cold as the waiter's heart; no sign of steam or heat radiating from the food. The food was, from 1 to 10, in terms of deliciousness, a 5. The service we received from our server was almost non-existent, because she refused to make eye contact with us, and she pretended that we had Harry Potter's invisible cloak on. Then out of nowhere, we heard a concerned voice within our group, further examination revealed that a friend in our group found 2 bloody dead flies in our Chicken Lo Mein. I threw up a little in my mouth. We notified our cold-hearted server, and she responded with her emotional-drained face once again. At this point, we wanted to pay and get out; and our server suddenly became 3 out 5 star server and was so attentive to our departure. She really wanted us to leave so badly. We tipped the cold-hearted, flat affect server and left because we cared about her and her life. God...
Read moreFirst, I’d like to say that the sushi here was fantastic! We loved the org. roll and one of the shrimp tempura rolls. Both were tasty and large portions. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at this restaurant over all. First off, our waiter spilled sauces and water all over our table. Second, he messed up our order for fried Udon with Udon soup (who wants soup in this climate?) and he was extremely rude and angry when we told him to just cancel the order entirely. It seemed like he knew he messed up because he immediately tightened up his act for the other customers around us.
Naturally, as displeased patrons, we left a less than generous tip. As we were getting up from our table and leaving he, our waiter, darted forward, shoving aside my brother-in-law, and grabbed the receipt. Upon seeing the low tip he shouted “no tip!?”after me and then cornered my wife to demand an explanation. I had to return to the fray to get this man to let my wife leave. I gave him an explanation and he said “whatever” and turned away.
I have my own opinions about the evils of tipping but I usually tip generously. I, however, hate when people take it for granted. My money still must be earned and this man didn’t even earn what I gave him. We wouldn’t return even if we lived near by.
Also this restaurant is operating closer to 110% capacity than the imposed...
