Try Snorkeling and Scuba Diving - San Juan — Attraction in San Juan

Yamil was the best snorkeling guide and we had such a great time! We had some experienced snorkelers and some kids who had never snorkeled, and he was great with both. He remembered all our names when we introduced ourselves at the beginning and really made our tour personal and tailored to what we wanted. He showed us a sea turtle, squid, puffer fish, etc. He was so kind and knowledgeable. He took some great videos of us with his GoPro with the sea turtle and of all the other fish and things we saw, and then AirDropped them to us at the end of our tour included in our tour price!!! We were not expecting that- as tourists you just expect that everything you get photographed doing is sold to you afterward at a steep price, but Try Scuba goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure you have a great time and they document it for you without charging you an extra arm and a leg. Their price to do the tour was even less expensive than the other ones we looked at in the first place, and they all went out of the same little bay, so Try Scuba definitely gives you the best experience and the best price!! We were welcomed so warmly by the manager (I wish I remembered his name!!!) and it was obvious he knew what he was doing and he was so personable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Yamil, and a better company than Try Scuba! Don’t try...

We had the most incredible experience snorkeling with Our instructor Jordan. From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and so much fun. Manager was very nice & polite. She helped us buy tickets on spot as we were having problems & answered all questions.

Our instructor, Jordan was fantastic—super knowledgeable, patient, and enthusiastic. He made sure my son 13 years old felt comfortable in the water, regardless of skill level, and Jordan’s passion for marine life was infectious. And he allotted his time alone/single person guided tour for my son in the busy season too!

The equipment was well-maintained & sanitized. the location was breathtaking. My son explored vibrant coral reefs, swam with schools of colorful fish, and even spotted a sea turtle! Jordan made the experience even better by pointing out unique species and sharing fascinating facts about the ecosystem.

My son and I had a great time here. When we arrived we weren't sure where to go because there were no signs. We figured it out by observing people unloading SCUBA tanks. We walked up and spoke with the manager/supervisor who was pleasant and organized.

Our guide was Areli who was helpful and showed us how to use the equipment. She stayed with us the whole time and often made sure we were OK 👌.

The dive almost didn't happen due to weather however we were able to wait it out. The dive took place in a protected cove approximately 10 feet deep which was slightly choppy due to the weather. Regardless, we were able to see jellyfish, crabs, and multiple other tropical fish. There were a few pots and other random items to explore but nothing of real substance and no coral reefs.

Overall this is a great experience for non-certified divers but I would only do it once in this location. Much better than snorkeling as we were able to actually spend some quality time on the ocean floor.
