If I could rate it a one star I would. I’ve been to this store on multiple occasions and have received a good impression. I love and support small businesses atmosphere which is one reason why I loved this business so much. However after a recent encounter I have experienced at this store with their staff I have a change of mind. I am aware of the products within this store along with its value and came up with a group and modest up together adults that were in no way disruptive upon our entrance of the store. My party was met with a distasteful condescending attitude by the owner with a demanding urge to leave. As urged to leave because of the many “breakable” fragile in the store. As that is a legitimate concern, I was not accompanied with any small children nor presented an immature rowdy image upon entering the store. With context the store seemed not have a lively feel with only enough people in the store to count on my fingers. Even tho some may say that it is their job to ensure police, it is also their job to make guests and customers feel welcomed and with a desire to come back. I love shopping at Ah Louis. It's full of so many unique gifts and it's always fun to stop in and see what's new. I recently saw an Instagram post they made highlighting their amazing gift baskets. It was perfect timing as I was on my way to visit my husband's family and wanted to bring a gift for all to enjoy. I sent a quick message letting them know my budget and a little about the event. Emily got back to me right away with a few more questions and suggestions. I stopped by to pick it up and was thrilled. Emily picked out a beautiful variety of central coast items and wrapped it up in the cutest basket. It fit perfectly in my carry on bag.
