As a crunchy taco lover, I loved San Luis Taqueria. The carne asada taco came with powered parmesan cheese on the outside, interesting. Good flavor with the green salsa added. Very light and crispy. I give 5 stars because I'd eat it again. The person I ate with gives it a 3 because there was too much sauce on the al pastor and carne asada street tacos. The first taco fell apart toward the end and the 2nd one was all soggy, also felt there wasn't much flavor. We both liked the outdoor patio seating, right on the busy street with shops, bars and people. I think this place is ADA friendly. The chairs and tables are movable. No stairs and the door was wide open. You order at the bar and seat yourself and wait for them to deliver the food...

This restaurant is located in the downtown area, very close to San Luis Obispo Mission. Atmosphere and bar are great.. I ordered the carne asada tacos, my husband had the tacos plate, with 2 carnitas tacos, refried beans and rice. Food was very good. They have a Salsa bar with homemade chips, which is awesome but the salsas while unique , are a bit lackluster. The habanero salsa is labeled hot, but isn't very hot. However,it is tangy and flavorful. The medium salsa is also not spicy but has a good taste. Their mild salsa is green and has a tomatillos taste but definitely no heat. Overall it was a great find and do recommend it for authentic Mexican food. Would have given it 5 stars if salsas...

This was a nice little taco place. I thought the guacamole was weird because it was a puree, and had an unexpected taste. The verbal order taking process resulted in forgetting one of our drinks, but when we returned to sort it out, they made it right. Pricing was typical. The kitchen took a bit longer than most Mexican places we go to. The condition of the tables in the dining room was a bit rough, but ok. You pay 4% more if you don't pay with cash. Finding parking was hard. Overall, all of those small drawbacks added up a bit, but it was still good, and I will probably return again next time I go here, especially if it's mid-week rather than a weekend so I would have better luck...

I did not like the rice. It tasted like it was refrigerated for a couple days and heated up in the microwave. The rice was hard cause I’m supposing it was refrigerated. I ordered a plate of enchiladas. It didn’t come like the picture on the web menus. It did not come with guacamole and sour cream and pico de gallo. The food tasted plain without all the other ingredients. I paid extra for no reason and I didn’t get all the ingredients it included. A free meal will be great to make up for it, this time made correctly with flavor and not dry and hard. This would be false advertisement.

Fantastic food... seriously. Empathetic True Hospitality for this current situation, taking this social modification as an opportunity to step up and give back to the community. Plus a unique pink habanero salsa that is A+. Adding to the experience by eating outside taking in the views, either looking towards San Luis Obispo Mission or beautiful bustling City of San Luis Obispo. I give this resturant a trifecta of superior food‐service ‐experience.
