I have been going to Bolinger Nail Salon in Walnut Creek for 10 years. They closed during Covid and never reopened. So I started to go to the other Bolinger Nail Salons in my area. I went to Pleasant Hill store twice. It was good but not like the one in WC. Then i tried the San Ramon one, off of Crow Canyon. First time was very good. The second time I went was this Monday for a Mani and Pedi. They did a adequate job! The next evening I noticed three of my nails were already chipped. The next morning 2 more were chipped. I had a relaxing day on Tuesday and didn't clean or even cook. I called in am and told them, that my nail polished chipped already after 24 hours. Tiffany the front desk person said that I would have to pay for another polish appt. I said, that's ridiculous. I wouldn't. I just had it done on Monday afternoon. I am a 10 year plus loyal customer at the Walnut Creek store. I told her, this has never happened before when I visited the WC store and the polish change should be for free. She finally agreed for me to come in today and get it changed without charge. When I arrived the front desk person was very accommodating and asked the woman who did my manicure to come out. She came out, and started to say that I should of gotten the gel polish. Regular polish doesn't last more than one day. I couldn't believe my ears. I had told her, maybe the polish was diluted with nail polish remover because it was getting low. I told her this has never happened to me at a nail salon before, chipped nails after 24 hours. She continued to argue with me, saying regular polish chips right away. I asked her if she could polish my nails with another color, and she did. Took her literally 5 minutes, and I thanked her for doing it. She got up left, and never apologized. Neither did Tiffany the receptionist. I am very reluctant to go back to Bolinger Nail Salons. I had my special manicurist for almost 10 years that always did a great job in WC and now the other salons aren't up to par. My manicurist is not working anymore at any Bolinger Salon, otherwise I would follow her to another salon. Save your money and go somewhere...
Read moreIt just continues to get worse and worse. I have been going to Bollinger for many years, and finally have hit the breaking point.
None of the massage chairs ever work anymore. The drains in the bowls don't work on a number of them. I make an appt EVERY time, and every time they are behind. We had 3:30 appts today. Three of us were put in chairs at 3:45 and one of my daughters was put in a chair and sat until 4:10 before someone came to do her nails. We all sat and waited an extra thirty minutes for her to be done. And to top it off, they start to paint her toes and say "Oh, we are out of the color you want" it was black. How do you run out of black? So she left with no color. The last five times we have been in, 2-3 of us have not gotten the color we have picked for they were "out".
We asked for the sea salt with extra massage. It was the absolute worst massages any of us have ever had. We had oil rubbed on us for ten minutes. The pedicure was $28. They charged us $18 to rub sea salt on us and ten minute massage. RIDICULOUS!
There is no wi-fi despite endless requests from clients. Just beyond a disappointment after being a loyal long term customer. Will now be looking for a...
Read moreRUN FAR AWAY from this place. I came in to get a full acrylic set and pedicure for my wedding. This took 2 1/2 hours and they didn’t even have time to finish before I went to my wedding license appointment. This is also completely false advertising, it is no longer owned by bollinger and the new management is horrible. Place is not well kept and staff aren’t great at what they do. When I showed them a simple design I wanted they told me that they couldn’t do it because they only have one person to do design and she wasn’t available. Then I preselected a color I wanted and instead of telling me that that color wasn’t available, they proceeded to use a completely different ugly shade. The acrylic was also way too thick. And when I tried to say I shouldn’t have to pay for at least the acrylics they argued back. And I was so annoyed and was too late that I just let them and paid for the horrible job. I’m now going to have to pay to get them redone at a completely different place. Save yourself and do not give them...
