Classy Nails Spa — Local services in San Ramon

I’ve been coming here along with my mom and sister for almost 6 years now and it’s been one of the best nail salons we’ve seen in the area but unfortunately we cannot support this business anymore. My sister was getting a pedicure and her nails were over-cut and she developed an infection. The manicurist was Jessica and she claimed it was ingrown nail that she was not informed about. However my sister had no prior pain and the infection has only gotten worse. We saw a doctor as well and the doctor said that is not the aftermath of an ingrown nail. Classy nails has refused to acknowledge this mistake and have done nothing to amend this besides taking off the initial nail polish. They’re not concerned the least bit about customer service. We’ve called several times regarding this matter and asked for some compensation in the form of either a refund or a store credit as my sister is scared and refuses to go back and after we finally spoke to the owner we were told nothing can be done and hung...

I have been going to this spa for a while for pedicure and manicure and I would say it’s been OK for most of the times. One thing I don’t like about this spa is that they do not do the actual manicure using a cuticle nipper, so there is always dead cuticle around my nails when I go home. They only use a filing machine to file and clean the nails and make them ready for the new polish. Other than that, there have been several times, that my gel or dip powder has been cracked or chipped and I had to go back to have it fixed which is very annoying. This last Saturday, I had another dip powder that was not done properly so the top coat came off after 2 days. I went back to the spa and they put another layer of the top coat on all of my nails but that layer came off the next day and most of my nails started to chip, break and crack. Update: Have been going here for 2 years now and after trying other spots closer to me, I keep coming back to Classy. Their attention to detail and number of color options is great! I love their sheer collection. Definitely get your nails done here, only $40 for gel manicure. Plus, I’m a perfectionist and they are very understanding when I point out a spot I want fixed. Love this place💗

Previous review: Nancy did a great job and had a lot of attention to detail. I appreciated that she was gentle and didn’t cut the cuticles too much. One or two nails did have some tiny bubbles and my thumbs nails were slightly different lengths. However, if you’re not a perfectionist this place is great.
