Poor service. We asked one lady about getting our planned purchased gift wrapped, and she said Yes. Great. We spent about $160, including four tiny gift totes for $2.50 each. The checkout lady didn’t understand me when I mentioned we liked them wrapped. She said, what do you mean? I had to run over to the samples and bring one over to her for her to understand. At NO POINT IN TIME did we see a smile from her. There was no - Thank you for coming. Nothing. All the while, we are saying Excuse me, and Thank yous. As we walked out the door, my toddler said Bye, then I heard a faint Bye. So any pleasantry had to be prompted by an innocent child? Such a poor shopping experience. To add salt to the wound, a caucasian lady walked in and was greeted immediately. So was it my ethnicity? My tshirt and legging? I would not wish such poor experience on anyone else.

See’s has been a family favorite since I was a kid living in South San Francisco. Even though I may gghave moved away for 12 years, I never forgot the taste of the chocolate or the smell from the factory. It was an unmatched smell of luxurious chocolates. today I’m visiting my Favorite cousin I went to the store and bought 2 pounds of dark chocolate with soft centers. The personnel is just wonderful patient kind considerate the facility is clean and has all the dark chocolates you can imagine. You buy boxes already ready to go and you can handpick your selected chocolates. If you have never tried See’s candy or believe you tried the best you have to come to See’s Enjoy

I got dark chocolate molasses chips for abt $12. They have a limit of 11 people in the store at a time. They give their little samples in pre packaged baggies. I went around 4pm on a Monday and the store was empty. They was a very friendly and helpful server. They are busy during the Holidays especially Valentine’s Day. During this time they also offer teacher themed gifts.

Dear Sees Candies,

I want to first of all say thank you for the very delicious chocolate you make. I’ve been a fan and customer for over 40 years.

During the past few decades, my family and I have been to many of your stores and always obtain a very welcoming and friendly service upon arrival, except yesterday at your San Ramon California store. We were treated very differently than any of the existing customers and other customers arriving at the store. I’m old enough to know and recognize racial discrimination in terms of difference in attitude and services provided. Please kindly see details below:

Two Sees candies employees at the back of the counter when my wife and I arrived, no greetings, there were a couple of caucasian customers at the counter looking at the difference types of chocolate.

When my wife and I got to the counter behind the other two customers, you had one employee that didn’t even look at us while another was helping the other couple in front of us. When I asked for one free sample, she turned to look at my wife holding three boxes of sees candies we wanted to purchase before giving me the sample, as if we were only there for free samples. Didn’t ask my wife if she wanted a sample even though she was standing right next to me.

As we were in line waiting for your staff to pack a half pound box of chocolate for us, another caucasian customer walked in and was immediately greeted by your staff and proactively helped her and offered samples. Even when she didn’t select any products as she just arrived. Honestly, the store was not busy while you had colleagues standing around ignoring us.

We ended up buying over $144 worth of chocolate, five boxes in total. I kindly requested three small bags as three boxes were gifts for three individuals. Your colleague gave us a big bag and said with an attitude that was the smallest bag they had when I inquired and repeated my request for three small bags. She even rolled her eyes as if I was being very annoying. Had she showed and told us that’s the smallest size bag you had, I wouldn’t have asked her twice.

No smiles, no welcome greeting during the entire experience at this particular store. While other customers got the normal greeting and welcome you can expect from a sees store. Like I said, I have been to many of your stores in the U.S. and even in Asia. This one is the worst and made us felt being disrespected and discriminated against due to being Asian.

I hope you have store video recording and can review the entire experience we received yesterday. We arrived around 5:15pm PDT at your store.

Needless to say, we will never go back to this store again as unfortunately the store at Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton closed a while back and this is the closest one to our home.

Please kindly look into this matter, I will also be posting this on different social media platform as we live in the San Ramon / Pleasanton / Dublin area with many people of different ethnic background and I feel they...
