An average Costco, nothing to write home about. Just as all typical Costco's are. Even so, with all the people they are crowded at any given rush hour. They have handicap parking as required for businesses, but always seemed full. They have many handicap scooters for handicapped persons, but always seem in short supply when I want to ride one. Most things at cosco are fresh, and I've never really had any issues with bad food. Some Costco's, not this one, seem to have employees who just seem to need better training in the customer relations department. I like their sales, the dollar being the bottom line, is something that everyone can appreciate. I've only had to return a couple items to Costco, and even then I never really had a problem doing so.This Costco, is no better or worse than any of the others.

The City of Monterey has put up too many barriers and rules for parking. Hard for us older folk. We have discontinued going. To the wharf. We miss the delicious food there. I think the city should consider there are a lot of us old timers still around. Monterey is our city too. Not just for tourists, even though we need their trade too. Please get a better system, and we can then continue to eat out once again. Hopefully.

I like to go to Marshall's, Costco, and Jersey Subs. There's other places too, seen in the picture I posted. It's a good shopping center, no complaints. 👍

Seems like a nice Big sized Costco, it's busy every time we've driven by. Driving the parking lot near dusk, makes you feel similar to entering a pinball machine, trying to NOT get hit by flippers and such, as you try to navigate. Better reflective signage and painted arrows/lines might help. But seriously WHY do you NOT have a gas station yet? Google search always lists this location, EVERY TIME we come to Pacific Grove/Monterey, luckily we always have just enough gas and time, EVEN with bumper to bumper traffic, going North on Friday evenings, to make it to Gilroy Costco. But this is SERIOUSLY shortsighted on the part of the planning department!

For people that doesn't understand the gas station issue. Costco is a membership, gas and other items run cheaper, because of the volume, bought and sold. For me, I get to use my Costco credit card for purchases in store and at the station, as long as stations are open, someone is there to assist if needed, AND ensure machines aren't tampered with. Your card is read & removed, no keying in "codes" to increase chances of being hacked. I don't even use outside ATM's because they are so insecure, and I NEVER use a card at a station other than Costco without going inside. It doesn't eliminate criminal hackers intent on stealing your bank account. But there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to make it easier if you...

Best thing about this shopping center is COSTCO! Worst thing is parking. Currently, two of the larger buildings are empty, so when they finally do have residents, the parking situation will only worsen. There is a McDonalds, but I would suggest eating at Port of Subs instead. It’s locally owned and been doling out fresh subs for over twenty years. There’s a brand new Total Wines that has an amazing selection of craft beer - especially their sours and double/triple IPA’s. People stop me and ask where the Costco gas station is often. Luckily, it isn’t in the actual center, but located across the street from the...
