The acting was terrific. The visual effects were amazing. They made it rain on stage. I want to come back for more. This is a gem!
We had really high expectations for the Christmas Carol and the cast and sets exceeded our expectations.
10/6/23 We saw Around the World in 80 Days and we were amazed. The acrobats were incredible. Hale Center Theater, you pushed the limits again and it was amazing.
2/1/24 We saw Fiddler on the Roof and as expected it was fabulous! How do they do those stunts without anyone getting hurt. Loved our time. Can't wait to go back.
5/15/24 We saw may we all tonight and coming in with no preconceived ideas or knowledge of the play I was pleasantly surprised. I love the band.
7/3/24 Saw The Time Machine last night. This has been one of my favorite stories and the new fresh story line was a lot of fun. I didn't bother comparing it to what has been done already because it is its own story. Loved it. The granddaughter was amazing.
7/29/24 Just saw The Nutty Professor tonight. THAT.....WAS .....FUN! I had a blast. It was so well done. I would love to see that one again. The Buddy Love character was amazing.
8/23/24 We saw Addams family and were happy with the fun and excitement we had during this performance. I wasn't sure how this one was going to go but it was great. It was funny and well directed and well written.
10/9/24 We saw the Magician's Elephant with our son that loves elephants and we had a terrific time. It is not just the actors that make these plays amazing, the fabrication team and costume designers are Magicians themselves. The elephant was so perfect and intricate. Even the eyes opened and closed. Thank you all for dreaming and bringing dreams to reality.
12/9/24 They just raised the bar again. The way they seamlessly changed the stage over and over again in Beauty and the Beast was beyond impressive. The creativity used in the stage changes increased the size of the stage beyond its normal borders. If they dream it they can make it happen and then they can improve it. The acting was terrific. Well played by all. I had a great time again.
3/31/25 We saw "the Prince of Egypt" and was immediately blown away by the chariot race. That was amazing and creative to put it mildly. That set the tone for the rest of the show. The acting was terrific and well thought out. Another great success for Hale Center Theater. Thank you for a terrific date night. We can't wait for the next show.
6/4/25 We saw Finding Neverland and yet again we were astounded. Hale has taken a great play and turned into something phenomenal. The high flying acrobats were mesmerizing. I was amazed at the children and the difficult songs they sang. Well done Peter, Michael, George, and Jack.
12 Angry Men I was really looking forward to this play because of how much I enjoyed the Henry Fonda movie. All 12 of those men did a fantastic job. I very much enjoyed it. Wish I was front and center to watch such a great play unfold with so much emotion. The depth of which each one of those men played their parts...
Read moreRarely, based on my Google reviews, I have only rated one company with 1 star (Utah Pathology Associates.)
Today, I find my experience is just and scored a 1 star for HTC with good reasons and this is where HTC management team needs to review their phone call register, speak with customer service staff who answers the phones, improve phone service in-coming calls as best as possible.
The automated voicemail greeting came on with a professional voice to thank patrons for contacting HTC, it continued we appreciate your call, please have your credit card ready and the same voicemail repeatedly over the course of 20+ minutes. Still, no one answered the phone, even if it is so that staff was answering other calls of patrons. 20+ minutes is way passed unacceptable, time valuable to both HTC staff and callers, it's clear HTC is unable to handle phone calls in a timely manner that is acceptable.
Only after 50 minutes on-hold, putting phone on the speaker, a lady finally answered, my inquiry was related to Unsinkable Molly Brown, tickets are unavailable to purchase online according to my search today on HTC website, when will it become available. Answer: 8/1/2021 for patrons who are not season ticket holders. For ticket season holders, they can and are able to purchase the tickets. I inquired if Unsinkable Molly Brown is a Broadway musical play (or if this show is a Broadway play script show.) The lady didn't have the answer, put me on hold which is fine, to ask another staff to obtain more precise info regarding this play. The lady was pleasant, it made up for the 50+ minutes call I was on-hold (normally, I would hold for 5- or under 10 minutes) in this instances, I wanted to see for myself how long it takes for someone to answer the line. I believe to anyone who's reading this review, would agreed, being on-hold for excessive time is unacceptable.
Visited and have seen many shows at Hale Centre Theatre, Sandy Utah location through the years. The shows attended were: Phantom of the Opera, Wait Until Dark, Adam's Family and many others. The tickets were front rows and the Broadway play were up to bar, entertaining, good audio sound system, comfortable seats, spectacular views from just about every seat.
Cleanness: 4-5 star Sound System: 5 star Lighting: 4-5 star Staff Service behind the windows: 3-4 Check In: 3-4 Phone Line for Someone to Answer (should patrons have questions and the website of the events is unclear): 1 star
There is always room for improvement, answering the phones could be on HTC's leadership management list and weekly or monthly meetings to step up to...
Read moreI really have loved the productions here- my favorites have included Singin' in the Rain, and the latest, Beauty and the Beast, were beautifully done. The actors are amazing and the sets are always phenomenal. My complaint lies with the theater and management. I was very selective in my recent tickets purchase. I studied the map carefully for aisle theater seats without steps and not too far from the entrance. I didn't need wheelchair accommodation (and even a few steps would be fine) but I wanted the most comfortable situation for a family member with some mild health concerns who might need an easy, quick exit. Upon arriving, I discovered one of our seats was basically a hard, straight backed metal chair with slight padding. Apparently, as confirmed by our usher, this space isn't advertised as being this type of accommodation despite costing the same as a cushioned, comfortable theater seat. A man sitting in another chair like mine on the other side of the aisle said it surprised him too- and not in a good way. I gave my young family members the theater seats (since this was supposed to be a treat for them) and took the uncomfortable chair for the show. However, it was highly unpleasant, especially for someone with back issues. To frustrate matters further, one of the ushers (who I'm sure is a very nice person) chose to pull up a chair right next to mine to sit and watch the play close up on my other side, essentially blocking the easy exit and aisle seat i paid for. For expensive tickets, I would really like to receive what I paid for and what was advertised. Had I known, I would have picked different seats, especially since plenty of other aisle options were open at the time of my purchase. Again, the plays have been lovely and I would recommend seeing the productions here. However, the theater could be more forthcoming in their seating arrangements so people could be comfortable and receive what they believed they had paid for. Eta: In response to Hale Center Theater's response and to reiterate, never once did I receive a pop-up explaining the seats and what I was receiving the mutiple times I explored, selected, and unselected my seat options. The usher who showed us to our seats firmly confirmed that it wasn't well known or understood on the website and was a surprise to many.. The man across the aisle also confirmed he was taken by surprise and didn't receive any notification about the...
