Santa Clara Town center has a lot of good shops and restaurants. This time, I went to go visit Target. I just cannot stand that place. I was going to give two stars, but putting the whole shopping center down for Target and wouldn't be fair. As usual, I went to Target with just two or three items in mind maybe $25. I went in there and I found the things I needed, and a few more, and a few more. Ugh! Instead of my planned purchase, I walked out of the store with a $100 receipt. Happens every time. Just can't seem to go in, buy the items I need and walk out! I see all this other cool stuff, and before I know it, my arms are full. Good thing I didn't grab a cart! I'm beginning to feel that they should take some responsibility and put some signs up in the isles to help poor souls like me at least stay reasonably within their planned expense. It's just so difficult. Next time, maybe I'll bring a friend with me whose job would be to steer me to the cash registers after I found what I needed, and steer me away from the electronics, away from all the organization sections (which make up a third of the store) and keep my compulsive buying to a minimum. Or maybe just leave cards at home and bring Just 30 or $40 with me. That would do it! lol I'm happy anyway, even though it may be Top Ramen dinners for a few nights. 🤔, or go see what Mom's cookin. I know, I know.....Lol Oh, And just turn your head, don't even look at the donut shop on your way out of the parking lot. Their donuts are so bad...uggh! They...
Read moreThis store has 18 check out lanes. It's rare for there to have 3 or more operated by employees at a given time. This leads to unnecessarily long checkout times. This is true even during times you would be able to anticipate traffic in advance (ie before a holiday).
They also never seem to be able to stick hand carts. I would say 70% of the time I have to walk over to the check out lines to get a cart.
I have mentioned both of these issues to management several times, it hasn't made a difference. I guess this route will be more effective.
Staff gets five stars.
Management gets zero stars.

Read moreThe dining section is very nice now the landscaping is grown in, lovely rose bushes and potted olive trees. Unfortunately the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired: the outdoor speakers from Panera blast easy listening, fighting with Habit burger joint's classic rock. Coupled with the traffic noise and the sloshing of the fountain, I can hardly hear myself think. Also, this time of year, wear a hat, not just for sun protection but bird protection too. The nesting Brewer's blackbirds can be...
