chocolate + cashmere DOWNTOWN SANTA FE — Local services in Santa Fe

I am not a cashmere kind of guy. But when, on a whim, I tried one on, I had no chance of not purchasing it. 100% hooked. This thing is like wearing nothing at all. And the sweater and a light jacket are all that's needed on a cold winter day, and I live north of Taos. It's just incredible. I wear it all the time. The size was a bit off, just a little short on the sleeves.I had purchased it without my wife.. My bad. I was ok with it, but my wife suggested that we pop into the E Palace store yesterday since we were there doing our monthly Santa Fe pilgrimage anyway. Anastasia greeted us at the front. When I showed the sweater to her (I was wearing it), she immediately pulled out some inventory. Yes, these custom, handmade garments vary quite a bit from sweater to sweater. The third one I tried on fit like, well, it fit like a custom made cashmere sweater. The only thing that mattered to her was that I was pleased with my purchase. With absolutely no hesitation, she exchanged the old sweater for this new one. And she would not let me leave without handing me a box of their incredible chocolates. I am truly impressed with Anastasia, her co worker, Rebecca, and the store. Five stars all the way. Nice...

I was visiting for the balloon festival this last weekend and walking around Santa Fe on our way out of town. Saw the store from across the street and thought how cute two of my favorite things. Unfortunately when walking in and describing how I thought the store would had such a unique and beautiful design, The two ladies stop their conversation. Look at me and look back at each other and go back to their conversation without a word. I worked in retail for over 15 years in cherry Creek here in Denver and I've never walked in a luxury shop and felt so immediately unwelcomed. So I Did a quick browse and left, apparently they didn't feel that need to work, just gossip. If you're going to have a luxury store with really high end items, it might be wise choice to find people with real retail background and...

This review is for the chocolate part of the business. They have a nice variety of flavors which looked great as well. Within the past year, a chocolate bar and tasting area was added to the back of the Santa Fe location. Some other chocolate products are also available besides the bite sized pieces. The chocolate looks incredible and you can almost always taste the main ingredient strongly. Some, like the olive oil and herb were a little subtle but delicious as well. Some reviewers might have been drinking an iced beverage when they tried the chocolates. If your mouth is cold the chocolate won't melt and it gets all weird, just FYI.
