Paradise Sushi & Grill in Santa Rosa offers a truly memorable dining experience that perfectly blends traditional Japanese cuisine with a unique Spanish twist. Their extensive menu features something for everyone, from sushi aficionados to those exploring Japanese cuisine for the first time.
The menu stands out with its variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri options, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Some crowd favorites include the Dragon Roll, with its delicate balance of eel, avocado, and sweet sauce, and the Rainbow Roll, showcasing vibrant layers of fresh fish. For those who prefer something warm and hearty, the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box is a fantastic option, combining tender chicken with perfectly steamed rice and crisp vegetables.
One of the highlights of the menu is their inventive sushi rolls with a subtle Spanish influence. The fusion rolls add a delightful twist, bringing unique flavors that you won’t find at a typical sushi restaurant. A must-try is the Paradise Special Roll, which combines savory and spicy elements in a way that’s both bold and comforting.
The appetizers are equally impressive, with options like Gyoza and Tempura Shrimp setting the stage for a satisfying meal. For those looking for lighter fare, the Seaweed Salad and Miso Soup are classic staples done exceptionally well.
Beyond the food, the experience is elevated by the warm and personable service. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the owner, Juan, often greets guests personally, sharing stories about how he and his four brothers started the restaurant. Their dedication to family values is evident in every aspect of the dining experience. Juan’s enthusiasm and genuine hospitality make every visit feel special, and it’s no surprise that the restaurant now has four thriving locations.
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a casual meal, Paradise Sushi & Grill delivers on all fronts. The combination of fresh, flavorful dishes, a welcoming atmosphere, and a heartfelt story behind the restaurant’s origins makes it a standout in Santa Rosa. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their incredible offerings, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sushi experience with a unique and personal touch.

Read moreThe sushi at Oliver’s market and Safeway, is far superior to this. A roll consist of sparse at best, tiny paper thin half inch by quarter inch fish. Imitation crab, ( no real crab ). All the roll’s content, rice, imitation crab. Meaning, all you can eat, of this content, with marginal flavor. The individuals who work there and own it, perhaps, 3rd world. They have rules for when and how you can eat the ( so called ) sushi ( imitation crab and rice ). Spent a 100.00$, for this. Wasn’t sure what to expect. I and another thought we’d give it a go. MISTAKE !! Definitely not Japanese at all. It’s a make shift Hispanic establishment. The whole time there, I thought I would also be given tortilla chips and salsa. Thought about a burrito. That would have been better, less expensive too. This establishment is a dichotomy. It’s a waste of time and money….., Eat at a real sushi establishment, should you feel the need to go out. Should you not understand this. Then go experience it. Then go to Oliver’s or another food store and compare. Should you have any type of exposure to sushi and can discern. Avoid paradise. Buy yourself a pair of shoes instead. At least when you walk in them, you know your money...
Read moreThis sushi spot has been the favorite/go-to date for myself and my girlfriend for a couple years now.
I give it a five stars because the sushi is great. I have always loved the rolls (which are not filled with rice in the middle like some of these 1 star reviews say) and the nigiri is my favorite. The head chef Juan is always a lovely face to see, the serving staff have always gone out of their way to make us feel welcomed, and honestly its always worth it. We go often enough to see new servers starting out and even when the night gets long, I never have a bad time here. Nobody is perfect, and mistakes happen, but when I ask my girlfriend if she wants to have a sushi date, we know it's going to be a good night. Tonight we waited maybe 10 minutes and we sat at like 545. Not bad for great food.
Try this place, of course be a nice person, and the people here will show kindness in return. Thank you Paradise for being our fav restaurant in town. See you again...
