From the moment my wife and I rolled up to the car audio installation bay we were greeted with smiles and professionalism we came to this location for their car audio installation bay, I was rear ended in 2024. The vehicle was totaled beyond repair and apparently so was the stereo system the dual 12 inch ported speaker box the amp thank God I bought a warranty thank God for Miguel who works in the car audio installation Bay he truly went above and beyond for me he set the equipment out tested it thoroughly, and in my eyes, is truly setting the bar for excellence when it comes to regards to customer service, he pulled my car up. He took the amp. He took the speakers. He tested him very thoroughly testing to make sure that when I went to claim for the warranty through Best Buy, that there would be no problem no charge. I have to say out of the many years that I’ve been coming to Best Buy 20+ years they stand behind their warranties when other companies say will give you this and we promise you that Best Buy delivers they honor their word they honor their contracts. They honor their warranty and they honor the work behind it. I’ve had speaker boxes and subs and amplifiers put into several different cars in different states. They have always honored the work I I’ve never seen a company honor the work in the warranty as good as Best Buy does and that’s why all these years I keep coming back I’ve had products speaker boxes, amplifiers, installed, in other states while on active duty military to be stationed in another state and Best Buy still honor the warranty
Miguel let us know since we were already here and had the equipment and it failed the test that we should pull around to the front and talk to either customer service or geek squad to have them do the warranty claim which is what my wife and I did we pulled the car around to the front of the store And when we walked into the front end of the store as the car audio installation bay is in the rear of the store. Once the sliding doors opened we were greeted by a host, the location is very clean smelled good floors were free of debris seems to me as though the store and its employees are very efficient very professional friendly and they’re willingness to help goes far above what my expectations were this store is running as a very well oiled machine. All the agents or representatives seemed fairly happy and everybody seemed willing to go above and beyond.the customer service was truly setting the bar for excellence. Read moreDO NOT BUY FROM BEST BUY. I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN FROM BEST BUY. I purchased 75” TV for as the birthday gift for my dad. He didn’t open the box right away. He opened it 7 days later. When he opened the box and turned it on it was showing black screen except top right corner looked like white lines and cracked. After inspecting it I realized that was inside of screen and no cracks on the outside. I took the TV back to the store in Schaumburg 900 E Golf Rd. First at the front door they asked what was wrong and if TV was bought in last 14 days. I said yes and she said to leave it there and go to TV Center and talked to them there. I was waiting 30 minutes for someone to help. The guy approached me and ask if he could help and told him what I was waiting for so he said he couldn’t help. We waited another 15 minutes and finally another guy showed up and again same questions. He said no problem I will see if we have same TV in stock. Came back after 10 minutes and said he found TV. He told me to go to the front and he will bring it to the front. It took another 10 minutes to bring it to the front. After that he said he needs to find someone to help him take returned TV to Squad Geek. It took him another 5 minutes and he came back saying he couldn’t find anyone to help him. So my husband and uncle carried TV to desk just to get I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO LOOK AT TV NOW from geek guy. The guy that was helping me was nice and he said move it the side so I can plug it in. So we moved it to the power outlet and he plugged it in. He saw that TV wasn’t working. It showed same thing in the corner but this time it also showed lines like pixels are not working. Only shows lines. He said that he needed to get his manager. His manager camp over and inspected TV and he declared that it was physical damage. I asked him how he determined physical damage since the screen is not cracked. It was something inside of TV and if it was physical damages it would show on the outside of screen. It was clearly something inside of TV with pixels. When I asked that question he got nasty with me. I asked for exchange of TV or refund and he refused with really bad attitude. He was so rude and I asked him for his name. He told me his name was BRIAN. I asked for GM and he said he was the only manager there. I asked for his business card and he told me he didn’t have one. I said I was contact corporate offices and he said he didn’t care. He walked away from me. I don’t appreciate this from management. I went in the other week looking for an iPad. I have never had one before and did not research prior. At the laptop section of the store I was greeted by Danny who helped to explain the differences between Air and Pro, new and old generations. I landed on wanting the 11inch Pro 256g new generation model. I was directed to an electric price pad that showed $799 on sale. I only wanted WiFi not cellular. When he went to ring it up it came up as $949. Danny spoke to a manager about the discrepancy and came back to say unfortunately nothing can be done the price pad is a glitch. It can only be sold for $949. I ask to speak to a manager. While I waited 10mins for Trent to come over. Another employee came over and scanned the price pad that had the $799 price on it. I asked him what he was checking and he said he was confirming the sale was still active. When asked if it is, he said Yes then walked away. When Trent finally came over I went to explain the situation and show the pricing error however the pricing pad was suddenly BLANK. Trent acted like I was lying about what I saw. Good thing I took a photo of it while waiting for Trent to show earlier. Trent said $949 was the best he can do and wasn’t willing to solve this issue. I left extremely unsatisfied. I tried calling the GM the next day however you cannot get a hold of anyone at the stores as ALL CALLS ARE OUTSOURCED You have to go back in store to talk to someone at the store. So I went back to get this form of a Bait n Switch settled by the GM. I was not presented with the GM but instead a “supervisor”. Through explanation and presentation of the photo he was unable to take responsibility and offer the $799 price. He explained that Apple runs the prices on the price pad and Best Buy has no responsibility with it. On the price pad it says “latest model” yet it also shows the M2 processor which the latest model actually has the M4 processor. This is false advertisement and the price shown to me by the sales rep should be honored. If there is a glitch or incorrect pricing/information it should be honored but then corrected going forward so other customers are not manipulated. Best Buy lost a customer for life over falsely advertising a product ($150) and a pathetic effort by “managers” to resurrect a problem.
