Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Schaumburg Township

Laura at the Schaumburg location is a wonderful representative for Gordon Food Service and one of the best customer service providers I have encountered in a long time!!

My sister and I called several different places trying to locate a specific snack bar to get for our mom for her birthday. After getting nowhere with several different places, I finally spoke with an employee at the Schaumburg location named Laura. LAURA WAS SUCH A GREAT HELP TO US! I explained what we were looking for to Laura. Laura was able to locate the item at their warehouse and have them delivered to their Schaumburg location the next day!

You can walk into GFS as a normal customer and buy groceries and supplies in bulk. It's almost like a Costco or Sam's Club but aimed towards restaurants and food service.

Sometimes their meat prices are cheaper per pound than other stores so we'll come here and stock up. Our out of state family loves Worlds Finest Chocolate and GFS has the big boxes of them for like 60 cents a bar. We'll buy a couple of boxes and ship them back as presents.

They also have large trays of ready made sides and desserts that honestly aren't too expensive when you consider how much food you are getting. Spending $20-25 on a cheesecake platter to bring to Thanksgiving or Christmas is...

I like it as a customer service is impeccable. I couldn’t find something. I was so tired. I was right in front of my face. The manager actually stopped doing what she was doing to help. She did not have to then she proceeded to help another customer the young girl was trying to bring everybody out in the store was somewhat busy. I really do appreciate the time they make us feel important because a lot of us have jobs that requires to get full order in order to pay.
