Liana Hair Salon — Attraction in Seattle

Called and asked if they do perms. She said yes. I said I just needed a root touch up, something I get routinely but couldn’t find openings for recently. She said “Yes, we can do a root touch up.” I left work early to make the appointment time. When I got there she had another client in her chair. She asked if I was there for the root perm touch up. I said yes. This woman laughed loudly in my face (no, really) and said that hair that has been bleached cannot be permed. (My tips are bleached.) I explained I just needed a root touch up, and that the roots of my hair are virgin. She said there is no such thing as a root touch up perm. (What?) Regardless, my time was wasted, I was laughed at, and was told something different that is also untrue. One of the worst haircut ever!

I went with hope after reading a lot of positive reviews but turned out to be truly disappointed.

I showed her my own picture of how I want my hair to look like. Despite that, she cuts hair unevenly and sometimes too short. Now my hair is standing at weird directions and it's a mess.

I also got a beard trim but she doesn't know what it even means. She even forgot to do my stache only after I reminded her.

I miss my homeland stylist who truly knows how to give time and make your customer happy. He makes my beard trim in a way that it gives a fake jawline, yes he's that good.

Seriously why is it so difficult to find a good barber here in Seattle? It ruins my week after a bad haircut.

And, it can make or break your confidence. Hair is so much if only barbers here will understand or try...

Nice salon, the 2 stylists there are really warm and welcoming. Things I didn't like: Pretty sure they take walk-ins as well so even if you have an appointment you have to wait I was shocked to see that one of the stylists washed my hair in under 2 minutes They seem to be in a hurry and want to be done fast, as people are constantly coming in. I felt like I didn't have a say in how much I wanted to cut my hair, she decided it for me and I didn't feel comfortable to say otherwise. The moment she finished cutting, she started blow drying it and didn't ask if it was ok. I guess this is on me, I should have been more assertive and spoken up I really wanted to like this place since it's convenient for me to get there. But I am really disappointed to have spent $70 and get this experience. Will not...
