Rude staff with a huge ego. I called Moss Bay rentals to make a group reservation for this weekend. Their website clearly states hours on the Groups from 10a to 7p so I (wrongly assumed) you’d be able to make a group reservation on weekends within this time interval. When I called, they explained that they only allow group reservations at 9:30am on weekends. On the website it mentioned that group reservations had a “start time of 9:30am” but I interpreted this as meaning group reservations started at 9:30am and not that this was the ONLY possible start time. The website was unclear and shouldn’t list hours if they aren’t true for group rentals.
The manager at Moss Bay was not apologetic and insisted that the website was perfectly clear. He was rude and insisted that the website was perfectly clear and I was stupid for making my wrong assumption.
A couple hours after our call, I noticed that the website was updated (see image #2) and a note was added that clearly states the weekend rentals must start at 9:30am and that time only.

Read moreThe staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their job. Great for first timers. Equipment seems well maintained. There are color paths for efficiency from checking in to paying out. Pay is determined by thing rented by the hour (Estimated cost from poor memory, but for sure everything was $22 or below):
Double kayak: $22/hr Single Kayak: $18/hr Paddleboards: $20/hr
For three beginners, we paddleboarded over halfway up lake union before turning around and that took a little less than as hour.
Note: There are no lockers, just shelves where people could potentially take your stuff, but they are in line of sight of the staff and not directly accessible...
