I found this neighborhood haunt on the ENTERTAINMENT CARD site, where they are listed as a participant in that discount program. I accessed their menus from that site and was excited to check it out. Capital Hill has such compact streets, but we navigated our way from our hotel in Bellevue and found a spot on the street a few blocks from the venue. It was a lovely walk through the autumn leaves and down the sidewalk in front of all the vintage and new apartments and condos. We found this neighborhood gem to be just that....a GEM. We were warmly welcomed into this compact bar and we found a table near the exterior west deck and perused the cocktail/beer list. The classic R & B / vintage rock music was a plus and it set the brunch vibe atmosphere we were looking for. Our service was friendly, efficient and genuine. We watched other patrons both inside and out drinking their bloody mary's and mimosas, and we settled on BEER from their varied tap list. We ordered a tasty burger and fish and chips that was served with a great side of slaw! It was crunchy and well seasoned and the fish, lightly battered and flakey. My dining companion enjoyed playing classic pinball and we really just drank in everything wonderful about this cozy watering hole. Our surprise came when we were informed they didn't participate in the ENTERTAINMENT card program, and weren't sure why they were listed on the site. They did accommodate us and that was appreciated, but we are Grateful they were on the site, as we discovered a lovely establishment with friendly service and great food. Thank you for a...

Low key neighborhood hangout. Great because it's not one of those crowded, trying-so-hard Broadway places. Off the beaten path (Broadway) so it's almost all locals. The kind of place you can come nurse a beer for hours while watching the game, or read a book, on a quiet afternoon. They had at least 3 screens playing 2 different football games on a Sunday in November, but half the people weren't watching the games. As I said, laid-back vibe. Had the burger with jo-jo fries. It was decent. Not amazing, but not bad. The meat was good with a thick cut of cheddar cheese, but the shredded greens with the carmelized onions made the overall burger soft feeling and slippery (things kept falling out). I prefer a burger with crisp lettuce or, if going the shredded route, fresh onion to give the burger a crunch. Wait staff was nice. They didn't charge me for my soda and when I pointed out it was missing on the bill the waiter thanked me and still didn't charge me. I'd come here again especially if I just wanted a quiet place to grab a bite. I wouldn't mind trying the mac n' cheese and...

Updated Review: prices have gone up at least twice, which I get. Service has tanked lately. Never the same folks working (I come in same night, same time, every visit), which means something is probably not right behind the scenes.

Tonight we had prompt service, ordered right away, waited close to 45min for food. Bartender dug himself into a hole and struggled to get out of it. Server gets off a break and comes to our table to check in on our empty glasses. We told her: “We ordered food?” “You did?” She put in our order. It was not busy at all I’m not sure how you lose control of tables on a night where there are like 10-15 people total in the building. I just can’t recommend this place to people even though I’ve loved being a regular here for 2+ years.

Original 5 star Review (2023): I like to drink at this bar. Great happy hour. Great prices. Would love if there was a pool table but they...
