After reading the great reviews we made a special trip to this restaurant w/ a few friends. We were excited to try all the tofu dishes we read about. We ordered the soy milk, congee, salt & pepper tofu, etc.
Hmmm, I believe we set our expectations too high especially after reading the glowing reviews. Sorry to say, it was a slight disappointment. What a bummer. The food was cold (fried salt & pepper tofu! Congee?! GAH!) and the seasoning was bland. Amazing how subjective everyone's tastes are...
Another star ding is for the waitress watching a gnat fly directly into our soy milk and walking away without offering a solution. That poor gnat was floating on top of the milk fluttering away! I'm not sure what the waitress wanted us to do - drink it with the gnat? Be entertained by watching that poor thing swim? Ai yai yai.
It's iffy if we'll visit this place again. The concept of homemade tofu, soy milk, and other soy products is fantastic! However their complacency regarding contamination of their food is suspect.

Read moreMy family has been patronizing this tofu shop for YEARS. We used to buy tofu here for almost 2-3 times a month. But I’m quite FED UP!!! Now that my Mother-in-law is older she doesn’t like to come up to Seattle to buy the tofu so I go buy it for her.
While it is the best and freshest place to buy tofu, they discriminate against me because I am clearly not the same kind of Asian. They REFUSE to sell me more than 4 tofu at a time.
Meanwhile I see her selling people who speak her language 6, 8, or 10+!!! I always make sure to be polite and say please and thank you so it is definitely not my attitude. I let it slip for so long because I am non-confrontational but enough is enough. I had my Taiwanese friend ask for 6 tofu in their language and was given it no issue. But when I came up to the stand I was only given 4. I come so often you’d think they would extend the same...
Read moreProbably the best quality of tofu related products in Seattle area. However, the service is not a service. They close the front door and restaurant. So customers have to go to their back door to buy . It usually has loud machine sound when customers buy in front of a table blocked back door. You have to talk louder to buy. Everything needs to be 1 lb minimum, no half pound or odd quantity which they need to reassemble. There is no an additional bag for all greasy bags together . So it’s better to bring an extra bag before you put fried tofu products into your shopping bag. They often close earlier. So the close time on Google is for reference only. It may be much safer if you go 1 hr before the close time on Google. Several employees are not polite at all. Owner’s manner is more sincere. Then you may get an extra bag for...
