Update Continues to be my go to favorite mediterranean restaurant. The spanakopita, tziziki and gyro salad are delicious, filling light and nutritious. Thank the staff for being great at food preparation and customer service.
I went in hungry. I've visited many times before, and the heat of the day had worn me out. I ordered the falafel sandwich, my number one favorite, along with a gyro and greek fries. Somehow the order was misinterpreted and I wound up with regular fries and a gyro without my falafel. I was told they had run out of falafel, after ordering and paying. I was willing to wait the 5 - 10 minutes, however I hadn't eaten all morning, it was 2pm and did I mention I was hungry...no I was hangry.
The professionalism and courtesy of the staff, in resolving the issue was above reproach. I received my order of greek fries, a mango nectar while I waited, for what the chef and I agreed on instead of the falafel, an eggplant sandwich. Let me say it was a delicious replacement, not vegan, however vegetarian and worth it.
I am thankful to the three young people for their patience with me and my hangry.
I apologize and my family and I will continue to encourage others to patronize, as well as continue to patronize ourselves.
Thank you for deliciousness in a calm...
Read moreAs someone who has always loved Mediterranean cuisine, MedMix has been my go-to spot for years. The food has always been exceptional, and though it was on the pricier side, it was always worth the price. However, my last experience there left me feeling saddened and disappointed.
First of all, they served me two gyros instead of a gyro and fries, which was frustrating. But what was even worse was that the gyros were much smaller than they used to be. The meat tasted frozen and there was barely any meat in the gyros, which was not what I was used to from MedMix. To make matters worse, the gyros were filled mostly with cheap lettuce, which was a far cry from the fresh and flavorful ingredients I had come to expect.
The worst part of it all was the price. Despite the smaller portions and lackluster ingredients, the food was somehow even more expensive than it used to be. I left feeling not only disappointed but also like I had been taken advantage of.
Overall, while I used to consider MedMix the best Mediterranean restaurant in Seattle, my recent experience has left me questioning whether I will return. I hope that they can get back to their former standards of quality and value, but until then, I will be looking for...
Read moreThis place was such a wonderful surprise! Lately I haven't had much luck trying new restaurants, but the food here was fantastic! It's a little hole in the wall that seems to be takeout only and family run, which often ends up being the best food in my experience, and it definitely lived up to expectations. Service was friendly, portions large, lots of vegan/vegetarian choices, ingredients all seemed fresh, and food was prepared in a reasonable amount of time for how busy they are. Everything we ordered was delightful- warm pitas, crispy falafel, herbaceous tabbouleh, earthy tahini, flavorful garlic sauce, creamy feta, crispy well seasoned fries, incredible house made hot sauce (I'm such a hot sauce snob and theirs was such an excellent compliment to the flavor profiles of our meals)...I could go on and on. I will 100% be returning here- I think their falafel might be the best I've had in Seattle so far. Heads up, parking here is very limited so that can kind...
