Update #2: Returned to refresh my silver and Jed did not disappoint!! So pleasant and professional, as always, and worked hard to once again transform my hair!! Always such an enjoyable experience and my hair looks absolutely amazing. So very happy with his work!! 5 stars!!
Update #1: Went back for phase 2 of the color mission and could not be happier!! Jed UNDERSTOOD the assignment and I cannot believe how well the final color turned out! One word: SLAY!!! I stay impressed at his talent, knowledge, and professionalism. Out of a decade + of getting my hair colored I can 100% say this is one of the best places I’ve ever been to; and honestly, to date, one of the coolest colors I’ve ever had! Save yourself the trouble and just go here first lol.
First visit remarks: Jedediah is awesome! Really heard where I was trying to go with my color and rolled with the punches of my stubborn hair (and previously applied color that did not want to leave lol) to set me up for success. He has great perspective & I appreciated the time he spent making sure my hair was well! He is very talented at what he does & overall just super chill. Definitely the person to trust with your hair if you want the...
Read moreThe salon itself was beautiful, and Jedediah was very friendly. However, my experience was less than ideal. I had booked a haircut, but it was clear that he had overbooked himself. I was asked to arrive 15 minutes late, and when I got there, another client was still in the chair. I waited another 10 minutes or so, and when it was finally my turn, Jedediah listened to what I wanted but didn’t ask many follow-up questions about the style. He washed my hair, but before finishing the cut, another client arrived for her appointment. He then asked me to wait while he started her color, leaving me sitting with wet hair and a half-finished haircut for about 15 minutes.
Once he returned, he rushed through the rest of the cut, and when he began blow-drying my hair, another client showed up to wait. At this point, there were three clients waiting on one stylist. The blowout was rushed and didn’t look great, and the layers in my hair were choppy and not at all what I had asked for. In the end, he offered the cut for free as an apology, which I appreciated. While Jedediah was kind and polite, it was clear that he had overbooked himself and was unable to give me the...
Read moreMy first/only time going to Jedidiah was a bad experience. I asked for a blunt cut/no layers (my hair is thin and wavy, layers look too wispy). He wanted to see if I was open to other options and showed me a picture of a curly cut with heavy layers. I didn’t think it would suit me and told him that I didn’t like that kind of cut and I wanted little to no layers. He was pleasant enough to talk to, but he gave me a heavily layered haircut while he had me face away from the mirror during the cut.
When I saw the cut, he could tell I was upset and offered the cut for free. I meekly said I’d feel bad if I didn’t pay (partially because he had been telling me while cutting my hair that he’s been paycheck to paycheck) and then he took my card. I don’t want to slam his livelihood, but the fact that I was explicit about the cut I wanted, he ignored my request, and that I paid $100+ for this doesn’t sit right with me.
I hope he listens to future clients. I usually wouldn’t complain but it was such a departure from what I said I wanted. Wouldn’t recommend this place, at least I have a reminder of why I don’t...
