Small shop, people were nice, good deals, but did not appreciate their m@sk sign at the checkout counter. I’m 1000% fine with businesses asking that people wear them as their policy but this place took it too far. They have a sign acting as if people should feel guilty and whether or not someone wears a face covering is doing a great deal of harm to others for reasons of “humility” and “kindness” instead of stating science . Please either follow up to date sc ience or just state it’s a store policy and that is your reason- take a look at the B M J study provided by the C D C showing that cloth m@sks are so highly ineffective they showed a 97% penetration rate in the results of the study. Oct 2020. Hand washing , social distancing, getting vitamin D, and other measures are showing much greater evidence for effectiveness that even the World Health Organization has stated that they fear people will have a false sense of security while wearing the m@sks and will forget to focus on the more effective means. Having a m@sk policy is one thing, totally respected, but putting personal judgement signs saying you need to be “humble” and wear them because you might be an asymptomatic carrier even though there have been numerous studies over the past 4 months debunking that myth is uncalled for and putting unfounded and unnecessary moral arguments on patrons. I do understand the sentiment but please let’s be truly helpful in this health crisis. Be confident in your policy but please do not share things that are untrue and opinions in your store when we need to...
Read moreAfter seeing so many positive reviews, it’s hard to post such a negative one, however after our terrible experience with this company I cannot help but post my review. Chris and thanks for the help we’re hired to drop off furniture and pick up our other couch and take it to twice as nice, as a donation. After contacting twice as nice, our coach never made it there, I contacted Chris and asked him where our couch was he said he didn’t know. After two days I had my husband call back and ask where Coach was, he said they threw it in the dump. This was a very nice couch and would’ve made a very nice sizable donation to this woman’s abuse shelter. I couldn’t believe that they had thrown it in the dump, and I said what someone must have that couch, he then went into a tirade of swearing at me and my husband on the phone. When he was finished I asked him how he was going to rectify the situation, he said he will refund our money for the dump which we never paid him for in the first place because we paid the $85 fee to take our couch to twice as nice. This was not the last abusive conversation we had with Chris. A kind business owner stepped in and helped rectify the situation. Chris, as a local you should be more welcoming to people entering your community. This is no way to...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience at Twice Nice with the new manager, Alicia. When I went to pay for an item, she refused to honor the ticketed price and instead charged me more at the register. As someone who previously relied on the shelter, this store has been a vital resource for work clothes and essential home items. It’s upsetting to see a new manager treating customers unfairly, especially in a place meant to support those in need. I hope this isn’t happening to others who depend on this...
