VESPA gets Infinity Stars to the sky (beyond the high 5 star rating)!!! I enjoyed the Contadina Signature Pinsa, which had Whole Milk Mozzarella, Parmigiano, Italian sausage, Mushroom, and Arugula. My husband devoured the delicious Diavoletta Signature Pinsa with Organic Tomato Sauce, Soppressata, Whole milk mozzarella, and Chili flakes . We tried each other's Pinsas and couldn't decide which one was better. They both win top class. They also have a wide variety of drinks to enjoy.
Pinsas are in a unique class of their own and cannot be compared to the typical everyday pizza. Enjoying a Pinsa at Vespa is an experience that everyone should have when they visit or live in Sedona.
The ingredients are of the highest quality in freshness, taste, and health. Each bite was not only beyond delicious but also very healthy with guilt-free pleasure. Who would've thought I could fully nourish by body with HEALTHY Pinsa. It had a nice light and crispy crust and was bubbly soft throughout giving it a delightful texture. Each topping was very bright, colorful, and bursting with amazing flavor. After eating my pinsa, I felt light, energetic, nourished, and fully satisfied.
The prices are very competitive. The pinsas are made hot and in great timing with little wait. The atmosphere is so fun and cheerful with such warm, welcoming, and respectful staff.
VESPA also has panini style sandwiches served with a small side salad or fruit, breakfast items, and salads. Their desserts look mouthwatering too! We live in Sedona and much of the menu items at VESPA we haven't seen in other places in Sedona, so that's a big plus for creativity!
I really like that they have an Espresso Bar that also includes cappuccinos, lattes, marocchinos, macchiatos, americanos, and shakeratos. And they also have coffee alternatives like hot chocolate. The Dandelion Latte and Genmaicha (a unique Japanese Green Tea) sound great too.
And they even have alternative milks including really creamy Oat milk and traditional Almond Milk. This is the first time I saw Goat Milk, which has a high protein content, and was pleasantly surprised. And they also have Grassfed Whole Milk. And at an additional cost, you can add what I like to call Powerhouse dietary supplements including Reishi, Lion's Man, Cordyceps, or Chaga. I also like that for your sweeteners, you can add Honey, Agave, Maple Syrup, or Cane Sugar instead of the heavily processed and refined sugars, which we avoid.
I'll definitely go back and try the other tempting items on their menu!
The menu items looks like what you would find in a true Italian cafe that takes NUTRITIOUS and DELICIOUS to a whole new level of Food Awareness and...
Read moreWow what an amazing restaurant! Prices are affordable for a very high end Italian food place. I don't think anywhere else in all of Sedona even comes close to what they're doing here.
I got the bruschetta and lasagna. The bruschetta was out of this world good! Every ingredient felt so premium and delicious. The lasagna was piping hot so be mindful of that. But it was also incredible. So dense and flavorful. Every bite was heaven.
My only complaint is I wish there was more basil included for both dishes, but especially for the bruschetta. I felt like I had to ration it for my bruschetta and it was incredible hard to cut on the lasagna. I get that whole leafs look nicer but they aren't a better eating experience. They don't tear like everything else does, so you have to be surgical about tearing it or you get the entire thing in one bite. It added unnecessary difficulty to the eating experience.
Still, 9.5/10 for sure. I will absolutely be back to try the pizza.
Update: Came back and had the Genoan Pinsa and Lemon tart thing (I'm bad with the Italian names). The pizza was as fantastic as I expected. Pesto is so yummy and this was mixed with a great olive oil that made it so smooth and rich.
The dessert was good but lighter than I expected. I was hoping for a tart lemon, but the nuttiness is what the primary flavor was. The lemon acted as a secondary flavor to support it. That was nice in a different way. That said, I would absolutely order the bruschetta as a dessert before getting that again 😂. I'm glad I tried it. The bruschetta is just legendary. There's only so much room in my tummy for all these delicious items so having to choose between nothing but top tier items shifts the...

On to the food! I want to give this place more that 5 stars on overall, everything. The dishes:
Guilio Salad; this salad drew me in the second I saw it, not just the name but the flavor of the Roasted Garlic Aoili brought out the superb flavors of the romane, pinsa croutons and shaved Parmigiano.
The pinsa, Rucola & Prosciutto, was unreal, not a lot of times can my partner (gluten allergy) have pizza because she has a gluten allergy and this is the first time I've not seen her itchy or feeling bad after eating "pizza" and same for me I can eat anything, but I didn't get sluggish or tired. The food digests perfectly and for long road trips or just a night out is important, but between the Arugala peppery flavor the oils, roasted romatoes and the mozzarella it was a flavor explosion placed on a fantastic dough.
Tirmisu, 100% one of the best I've had and I'm a man of the sweets, especially after working at a mid/high end Italian restaurant. The strawberry tie it together with a little bow. Perfection!
If that doesn't get ya the atmosphere was very welcoming and they are very personal with their guest, more like a friend inviting you to dinner. Run, don't walk to this place!
Thank you for...
