The service here was atrocious! My daughter and I ordered the same thing--GF English muffin, bacon, no cheese, no egg, and avocado. He gave us one with egg, and when I pointed out that they both were without egg, he actually argued with me, saying that my daughter ordered egg on hers. He said, "I do this everyday, and I pushed the button for egg, so she ordered it." I was standing right next to her, and she didn't order egg on hers. She had even told me before we went that she didn't want egg this time (she had gotten it previously). I had even commented about how we wanted two of the same thing after I found out the egg was fried (not my fave, so I declined it). But, he kept saying over and over "she ordered it" like there was NO way he could have made a mistake. I asked to speak to the manager or the owner, but he just said, "I'm the only one here" and ignored me. I was flabbergasted by his horrible attitude and insistence that he knew the order better than the two people in front of him who ordered it. There was no attempt at customer service on his part. He literally just ignored us. Yes, he got busy after we arrived, but even if he had just apologized for the error, I would have understood and been cool with it. But, he just dug in like he is never wrong, and in a really belligerent way. Way to drive customers away! When I asked for his name, he said I didn't matter, but it did (since he wouldn't tell me, I'm adding a pic). I told him it was okay to admit he made a mistake, but denied he did. Then he reiterated that he does this every day and said it's "(my) fault for not teaching (my) kid to speak up for what she wants." (But, she did say what she wanted, and you got it wrong!) I admit this got me so mad that I did swear ("Are you effing kidding me?!?!"), but this guy was infuriating. Then he called me a Karen, because I guess resorting to insults is a way to make himself feel better about his failure -- make me the unreasonable one, because I guess politely bringing up that you didn't get what you ordered is unreasonable. He also said, "What kind of people come into a coffee shop and don't order coffee?!?!" (We ordered steamers in addition to our sandwiches). Apparently, in his mind, people who don't drink coffee are dishonest. What I cannot convey in this review is the absolutely rude way he talked to me from the very first time I said that both of our sandwiches were supposed to be without egg. He was angry from the get-go, and I just don't understand his reaction. I honestly can't rate the food because, after this experience, it tasted like cardboard. If I could give zero...
Read moreWhat a cool little coffee joint! They support local artists by showcasing and selling their creations, and the eclectic decor, complete with a tarot card vending machine, adds a unique charm.
We ended up visiting three times during our stay. On our first visit, we enjoyed an iced matcha with oat milk and honey, along with an iced mocha. Both were delicious! We also tried the biscuit breakfast sandwiches—one with bacon and vegan cheese, the other with bacon and pepper jack. It was the perfect breakfast before a practice round at the Dillon Disc Golf Course.
On our second visit, I brought some friends who were visiting. I knew my friend would love the book wall, and she did! We ordered iced lattes with oat milk and honey, plus more mochas. This time, we indulged in the cinnamon and almond coffee cakes—both were incredibly moist and flavorful.
For our final visit, we grabbed breakfast before the disc golf tournament at Dillon. We switched things up and tried the sausage biscuit breakfast sandwiches, which were just as good as the bacon ones. I also tried the iced honey sage latte—an interesting flavor, not too strong on the sage. The barista, who had a great attitude and was wearing jewelry made by one of the local artists, handled the morning rush with ease, quickly getting everyone's drinks ready while someone in the back prepared the sandwiches.
All in all, this is an amazing spot with great vibes. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely be...
Read moreWe stumbled on House of Vibes while passing through Silverthorne and it instantly won us over. I ordered a London Fog and my wife went with an iced vanilla latte. Both drinks were dialed in perfectly. The London Fog had that cozy, creamy texture with fragrant Earl Grey coming through and just the right touch of sweetness—comforting without being heavy. My wife’s iced vanilla latte was smooth and balanced, with real espresso flavor that wasn’t buried under syrup. No weird aftertaste, no watery ice melt—just a clean, refreshing drink.
We liked it so much we came back the very next day, and the quality was just as consistent. That says a lot. You can tell they care about their craft—temperatures are right, ratios are on point, and everything tastes intentional.
Service is warm and efficient. Even with a steady flow of customers, our drinks came out promptly and with a smile. The space lives up to the name—relaxed, welcoming, and easy to settle into whether you’re grabbing a quick drink or hanging out for a bit. It’s spotless, the music is at a comfortable level, and there’s a good energy without being chaotic.
Prices feel fair for the quality, and the menu has enough variety to keep you coming back without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re anywhere near Silverthorne and want coffee done right (or need a reliable spot off I‑70), House of Vibes is the move. After two great visits back‑to‑back, it’s officially our go‑to coffee shop in the area. Highly recommend the London Fog and the iced vanilla latte—both...
