AMC Southern Hills 12 — Attraction in Sioux City

My husband and I went to see a movie yesterday 7/16 around 420 at the carmike theater in the mall. While watching previews we noticed how dirty it was. the ceiling had huge holes and water spots everywhere, there was so much noise from what we believe to be the AC. We ignored it and watched the movie. After leaving and coming straight home (which is an hour away) my husband realized his wallet had fallen out of his pocket. We called right away and told them exactly where we where seated. They said they did not find anything and nothing was turned in. So I decided to wait until today 7/17 to call and give them time thinking maybe after the night movies it would be found. The lady that answered the phone said nothing was turned in so I asked her to take my number and asked if she could go look for me, I told her what theater and what seat he was in. She said if she found it should would call back within 15 minutes. We never received a call. My husband decided to go there himself bc it had to be there. He didn't want to waste an hour drive so he took my daughter to another movie and after the movie he went into the theater we where in the day before and looked. Not to our surprise it was right next to his seat. Not under or crammed somewhere that would be hard to see, it was literally right on the ground in front of the seat. Had the lady actually looked she would have found it. Had they looked or even cleaned yesterday it would have been found before we cancelled all his cards. This was HORRIBLE customer service. They obviously do not clean the theaters. We will never be giving them...

Talk about a horrible experience... We were driving home, and wanted to catch a movie with our 3 kids on a Wednesday. Walked in about 720, got tickets, popcorn, and our drinks. Went to our seats to find out 2 of the 5 we're straight busted, laying flat. Ok, walked up front, selected new seats. Headed back to the theater, and the wife told me the popcorn was super stale. Went back up front got another and took it back to the kids, not as stale but still very stale. Movie was about to start so the kids forgot the popcorn. About an hour in, I'm sweating, kids are uncomfortable, but it was like 85 out when the movie started. Figured it would cool off...it didn't. Then kids were upset because their paper straws had fallen apart in their icee. Checked my drink, and yep, collapsed paper straw. After the movie went to the grodiest bathrooms ever, toilet paper wads stuck to the walls, no soap, lights flickering, just disgusting. Walked out to get some hand sanitizer at least, 4 machines later, all empty. Figured I would let the manager know how bad an experience it was, and he didn't have much to say other than the AC was on the entire time. Won't be back to...

Just about everything about this place is great. The customer service is top notch; they inform you of membership option but do not pressure you into signing up, they also make sure the customer is aware of whatever perks or additions that any food order comes with. Their no.1 order of large popcorn and large drink comes with free refill of both (i think they are able to do so because the buckets are so big that it is unlikely that they come back for more). The common area looks nice and clean with great prominent displays of upcoming movies. The theater seats are amazing and are electric lounging chairs with heated seat option(which I turned on by accident a few times throughout the experience). The audio, visual, and just overall experience of the movie is definitely enhanced by the atmosphere of the facility. The only reason it gets a 4* is because of the toilet seat in the restroom was not quite clean and I had to clean it before I used it. I know they can not help how clean someone else leaves the seat after they use it but they could at least provide some kind of actual antibacterial cleanser to be used instead of the handsoap and paper towels...
