This review specifically addresses a frustrating delivery experience with Home Depot, not the in-store service.
My family recently ordered a new stove and microwave from the Somerville Home Depot (near Assembly Row), scheduling delivery, installation, and haul-away services. We reside in a condominium with a strict delivery policy: Monday through Friday deliveries must occur between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. To prevent any issues with our doorman, we explicitly added this rule to the delivery notes. I also called Home Depot separately to emphasize and confirm this policy.
Despite these clear instructions, Home Depot repeatedly disregarded our specified delivery window. On July 1st, they attempted delivery at 8:30 AM, and we missed their call, resulting in a missed delivery. We rescheduled for July 3rd, and after their initial early attempt, we called Home Depot again to re-emphasize the 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM window. Yet, this morning (July 3rd), they arrived at 8:00 AM. Despite our efforts, neither the doorman nor the building manager could permit them entry due to the building's policy.
With my family traveling in the next few days, Home Depot informed us they couldn't reschedule until next Monday, four days away. This left us with no option but to cancel the entire order.
Here's the take away: Home Depot will not follow delivery instructions. Please consider this before you schedule a delivery service...

Over the years that I have been patronizing this location, I have been, generally, pleased with the store itself and the staff.
The Somerville Massachusetts store is located at 75 Mystic Street next to the Route 93 highway. Access to the parking lot is fairly easy and I've never had a problem locating a parking space.
The layout of the store is similar to the layout utilized in other HD stores, so, being familiar with other HD stores will make navigating this store fairly easy.
Back to today's visit. The return area wasn't overly busy and my wait time was less than two minutes. I explained to the associate what the defect in the item was, and, even showed it to him.
The associate was able to process the return and credit to my credit card account without any problems, but, a network issue resulted in the same credit card from being used to order the replacement item.
The issue was resolved by having the associate reboot his computer, and, my switching to another credit card. Once that was done, everything else went as smoothly as possible.
Overall, the Home Depot in Somerville Massachusetts has been good to me over the years, and, I expect to continue...

I called into the Somerville store and Anna assisted me . My husband and I had called the online Customer Service Department several times, as we had a large issue with an order we had placed online . We had selected to have our items delivered to our home address , Which we had the original order confirmation to prove such. Somewhere along the lines, 2 out of the 3 items got rerouted to a store in Maine, which was three hours away from our home address . Online C/S were of no help to either one of us. They had instructed us to return and reorder our items , however we got a great deal via the Labor Sale, and did not want to lose the sale price. Anna worked hand and hand with the Auburn ME store (#2403) , and assistant manager Neil went above and beyond , driving our purchase down to us in Massachusetts as he was visiting the area that week. My husband and I were floored that he offered to on his own time put the items in his personal car and bring them to us to assure we got our items and our issue was solved.
