Stanley Johnston Park — Attraction in South Haven

A beautiful park on South Haven's north side. Stanley Johnston Park is a great place to spend an afternoon. There is a pavilion with restrooms and picnic tables. A small playground with swings for all ages and one that is handicap accessible. There is also a basketball court and picnic tables spread throughout the park. The trees here are the largest in town. I've always enjoyed this park and it's not very far from the Dyckman beach access or the north beach access is a hop skip and a jump. It'll be nice if the city of Southaven would come out there every morning and blow off all the debris from the basketball court! I would love to give five stars but I almost twisted my ankle on some debris that was there and it only takes about 5 minutes with one of their nice leaf blowers to blow off all the debris to prevent an accident from occurring. Spent a week in the South Haven north beach area and every trip over the drawbridge walked past this park. Also walked its perimeter path trail which had slightly different elevations, stairs and was heavily wooded. It had a shelter / picnic area that could use some cleaning/modernization.
