Long, slow lines. What I ate here wasn't memorable, but it was good. What I do remember is staring at the back of some guy's head for an hour while waiting in line and observing overly-generous staff indulging every single person in line to taste 45 different flavors. To heck with taste testing, what are you - Costco?! I honestly wish I had just gone to Walmart and grabbed a gallon of ice cream there instead of wasting an hour of my life here on two forgettable scoops. I could have eaten that gallon of ice cream while waiting in this line, for half the price. My experience would have been 100% better if Kilwin's would focus more on selling their ice cream rather than giving it away. Sell pre-scooped single scoops of ice cream to customers who want to try different flavors, make them step aside to taste it, send them to the back of the line and sell them quarts of ice cream to go. Have two cashiers, one just selling pre-packaged products. You'll sell more ice cream and your dumb line will cease to exist. Less flavor choices will give your customers confidence that you're managing and rotating your inventory, and that your product is fresh. Recycle those stupid tiny spoons and stop ordering them, forever!! Show some urgency and get that gosh dang line moving! Post your flavors on the sidewalk on a chalkboard and on two whiteboards in the store. 10/10 will not be...
Read moreIce cream was really good but the people that work there are rude and for some reason they don't help everyone in your party first then help the next group of people in line so the person behind you will be done before your group, what is the point of a line then, that means your group will have to wait about 15 minutes for everyone to get there ice cream and the group behind you will probably get there ice cream first. If you get ice cream and your with a group of people your better off saying your not together because then someone will help you. There is always a wait expect to be waiting for ice cream for probably 5-10 not because there is a lot of people but because they like to help different groups at a time instead of help one group of people and make the line go faster. I don't mind waiting but the attitude of the people that work there really upset me today and how they...
Read moreWho ever owns this place needs to visit another kilwin's and study there operations. They would make so much more money if staffed properly people had one job to do. Who ever the owner is go to the st. Joe location on a busy night and see how it is done. More staff equals faster lines and less people stepping out or walking by. Someone making waffle cones up front equals better smells and more people coming in your fast moving long line. The one star is for your staff serving the ice then ringing the sale up since there is not a cashier then taking the dirty money and not washing there hands before they go and make the next cone. GROSS needless to say I walked out and did not buy anything when I saw that and there dirty and discussing ice cream cases. Health...
