I grew up going to this temple. The remodel was beautiful and I like that they've replaced the escalator with a staircase. There is parking on three sides of the temple, with entrances to the temple from both 1300 West and Redwood Road. Endowment style: Stationary; no murals. Views: Beautiful views of the Wasatch. This is currently one of the most efficient temples there is, and has endowment sessions starting every 30 minutes. It has 6 endowment rooms and 16 sealing rooms. It is a whopping 148,000 sq. feet, making it the 4th largest temple in the world by square footage. It is also one of only 5 temples in the world whose Angel Moroni statue is depicted holding the gold plates.

As a person of faith within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I view the temple as a beautiful and sacred place. While the temple grounds are open to all visitors, access to the interior is reserved for those who participate in the Church and are prepared for the sacred ordinances performed there. definitely worth a visit, sit on a bench, walk the grounds, enjoy the view of the mountains, outstanding by the fountain. And listen for and feel the special spirit that is there.

Jeni and I go here often. We enjoy the beautiful grounds and the gorgeous LDS Temple. The serenity inside is just awesome! We have been going to all the Temples in Utah and any we can outside of Utah. The church just announced 9 new ones being built so it's a challenge to stay ahead... uh, to try get to even the ones close by. We have made a commitment to visit any that are close when we travel. So, LA, California, San Diego, Las Vegas, Mesa, Gilbert... here we come!

While I believe that all religions have truth to them I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only completely true church on the earth today. The fullness of our Savior Jesus Christ's Gospel has been restored to the earth again! God lives!!! He knows you by name and He is very mindful of you personally.

I highly recommend requesting lessons from the missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have questions for them... Even those deep questions like, "What is the purpose of this life", "Why am I here?", "Where do we go after this life?", "Where was I before this life?" "How was the fullness of the Gospel restored to the earth again?" When you listen with an open heart I promise they will answer your questions with answers that speak peace to your heart and to your mind.

When I go to the House of the Lord I feel the spirit and feel our Heavenly Father's love and peace. This stays with me for a long time after each visit. It not only renews my ability to face life's trials but it give me a zest for life that actually makes me excited to take the bull by the horns perse lol. Challenges that before felt insurmountable! I also feel that I am completely escaping all of the cares of the world when I enter it's sacred doors. Your challenges in life most likely won't be taken away by attending the temple as we are given experience in this life for a very important purpose. But I promise you that guidance and strength will be given to you in His time and that the blessings given there will help you to be more better able to bear those challenges.

My wish is that everyone of our beloved Father in Heavens children, all who are reading this, will partake of His love by making and keeping covenants with Him. Sacred blessings that He desires...

Welcome to the house of the Lord. This is a holy sacred temple of God. All are invited to be fully worthy and qualified for participation for worship and service herein. However, qualification for entry is determined by your local priesthood authorities, who will interview you thoroughly as to your compliance and attitude regarding the rules, laws, and commandments of the Lord and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A temple recommend certifying worthiness is issued to those who have committed to these principles throughout their lives. Those with expired recommends, no matter how brief the expiration, will be invited to return immediately upon renewal.

In this sacred place, we are able to make personal covenants with God, and He will bestow or endow us with capabilities beyond our natural capacity. We do this first for ourselves. Thereafter, we may return to perform these same sacred ordinances for our beloved ancestors who may choose to accept or reject this proxy service given their own post mortal circumstances and attitudes.

These unique ordinances include baptism for the dead, sealing for eternity couples and families, priesthood ordination, etc.

It is recommended that you make online appointments in advance. These are not required, but you may find additional waiting without.

Parking is usually available. Be prepared to take a hike from your car to the front entrance on the east side. Ride sharing is encouraged, especially on weekend evenings

Clothing rental is available. Food is no longer available.

Initiatory ordinances will require about an hour for 5 names.

Endowment sessions require about 2.5 hours. Sealing sessions take...

A very special feeling of the Spirit in this beautiful temple of the Lord. Smiles and friendliness and caring. Beautiful inside and out. I know people who, when the temple was closed due to Covid, would go to park near it and study their scriptures and pray in the quiet and peace in their cars. I know that God hears us for sure, whether we can park near a temple or not and will help you no matter where you've been or are in your life. We are definitely not alone. Our Savior loves you more than you love yourself and has proven it by paying the price for our wrongs so we can repent and keep trying and someday be with him and our Father and our families, which he has made possible. He also will heal us as we seek him and have faith to trust and listen and do what he teaches us and allow ourselves to be blessed one step at a time with his love and direction to becoming whole and peaceful in our hearts. I love our Savior. I couldn't leave a review about one of his temples without speaking of his great goodness and caring that he has for each...
