Archive Games is absolutely incredible. It all started when it used to be Paddywax, just a small part of a house with not a lot of room. But inside this small and quant little business, such treasures did I find, I guess great things really do come from small packages. After Paddywax closed I was extremely petrified and sad, I could no longer go scavenging through the shelves trying to find those wonderful things that called out my name. But that all changed when their new and improved business became Archive Games. The building is bigger, it's far more organized, and all of the things I deeply enjoy are still available for me to buy. The employees are immensely helpful, and kind. They have the urge to please your video game needs and sure do have the knowledge of every console, game, collectors items etc. I highly recommend coming here, and I assure you that Archive Games will become your light in the darkness, and a flame...
Read moreThis place was a total disaster. Firstly, they sold me a Smash Melee copy that was busted and broken. I thought it had something to do with the disc like it was scratched or something, but when I got it cleaned. The game was unplayable and they charged me $60 without saying it was broken. Secondly, their place is totally disorganized with not knowing where anything is. It would have been nice if they had labels or even different shelves for each console such as one for Nintendo or one for PlayStation. Not to mention that most of my experiences going there, I saw broken consoles on the table which left a super bad first impression. Case in point, don’t go here. If you just getting into retro games, a way better game store I would recommend is a place called Game Pawn which is a super organized store, this place was so trash and ill never...
Read morePadywacs is pure nostalgic overload. Amazing selection of everything from vintage video games, DVDs and Blu-rays, records and more! The owner, Brian, is a great guy even if he does prefer Smash WiiU over Melee despite Melee being the objectively better game in form, and function. I mean, the more options in a game, however technical they may be, the deeper the meta is, and the more replay value a game has. And don't get me wrong, jumping around a gigantic stage with 8 of your friends and items on high (Pokeballs only) is fun and all but sometimes you just want to jump-cancel grab to downthrow, parachute to reverse bacon pan spike for the win, you know? But I digress. Padywacs is alright and Brian is cool I guess, so make sure to stop on by. And buy a copy of Super Smash Bros. Melee while...
