I've been a loyal customer for years, but this branch has recently stepped up their game, & I needed to share. My mom, my best friend, passed a few weeks ago, & I wanted to do her casket pillow. Arts & Crafting was our thing, we could spend an hr in Michaels, deciding on the best items for our art/craft that day. She had done flowering arranging for nearly 3yrs, for weddings, gifts, & funerals. She °always° made the casket pillow for friends & extended fam, & i decided that somehow I'd do it for her. Cut to me, sitting on the floor of Michaels, in the isle of silk flowers, somewhere between shock & mourning. One of the managers talked to me for a while, making sure i was okay enough to drive. When I got to the register, I'd started getting dizzy from breathing too fast & shallow, & needed to rest a minute more before driving. The older woman at check out was very kind & concerned; she'd offered to call someone to pick me up, & got me water to sip. It was near closing, but she told me I didnt need to hurry out. When I felt better, she made sure I got to my car safely. It was extremely difficult making these for my mom; I wanted them to be perfect for her, to honor her & my Dad(who also passed just months earlier) & be able to convey just how much she meant to me. ...
Read morevery poor service . i work for a delivery company and went to your store in washington and came in for a paid order for your customer and mine . I spoke with the first woman employee and she said wait a few minutes and i will help you 10 to 15 min later she come over and admits she forgot about me . in the mean time of waiting for her i saw another employee and asked if she could help , well then she had to get another employee to help me find this paid for package. i mention to one of the woman that i had the order number and she was really nasty answering me back with those numbers dont mean anything so i gave her the customers name and she went off . now i contacted my customer and asked her what she purchased . She told me and i found it myself 35 min later . The whols problem was no tag on the box with her bag no name no number . so my advice to you is have your employees do the jobs right name and order number on the box with your tag and treat customers better then hoo i was treated . All this could of been avoided if the person responsable would of taged the box with a name or number . AND STOP BEING RUDE . WE ARE ALL PAYING CUSTOMERS WHO COULD SHOP SOME WHERE...
Read moreStore clean, staff helpful. Had a negative experience near the craft paint. Listened to a supervisor berate a sales associate for not having a floor set done while I was shopping. It sounded like supervisor set no clear expectation for the staff member and only followed up with them an hour before that staff member was set to leave. The staff member had something that was going on aside from this and instead of handling it with compassion the supervisor berated the associate. Said associate had an emotion breakdown and then I listened to the supervisor and another older work swear and use terrible language and complain about the younger staff member.
I understand it’s a business but the management was handled very poorly, on the floor, in front of customers and a rude way to the younger staff member.
