This is the worst place to go to shop , any shop you enter has a shop keepers with a very bad attitude and all they are concerned with is that you spend money at their place and they have absolutely no accountability towards you and your well being. They have multiple restrooms though, all are locked out during business hours. They are not cleaning them nor there is anyone to inform about restrooms operating hours. Shop keepers like Cinemax kohl’s Marshall’s etc in whose vicinity these restrooms are located have employees who will laugh at you when you ask them. One arrogant employee told us that ‘you have to buy at the mall to earn the privilege of restrooms!’ I had just finished shoping worth $800 plus the foods we ate and that seemed insufficient. Next obvious step was to return all the items except food we ate. I am striking out this mall area from the places to shop forever. I strongly recommend everyone to fully boycott this place as they have no regards for basic human natural needs and puts money before the civility to open their restrooms. Such a lack regard for human rights makes this place rank lowest.

Don't expect Gateway Mall to care one iota about the HUGE potholes on their property. I've tried to get them to fix the problem. They refuse to acknowledge the issue. There are large chunks of asphalt laying directly in the road (see photo). They also gave me attitude when I e-mailed about another safety hazard: they put trees in the absolute worst spot in the parking lot where Hobby Lobby is located. You literally cannot see pedestrians and traffic if you're trying to pull out of the parking area onto the main road. I'd avoid shopping here unless you want to do thousands of dollars of damage to your vehicle or potentially run over a shopper. This facility literally does not care about you or your vehicle. They want your money and they want you to get out ASAP.

Not impressed ... very sparse, both in terms visitors as well as the number and quality of the stores. Poorly maintained common areas: the women's bathroom nearest the theater was reasonably clean but had a garbage bag taped over a broken sink. And the kids' playland was atrocious! The climbing structures were very worn and paint rubbed off, there were tears in the carpet and bench seating, and the floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, especially around the walls (see photos). Won't be visiting again if we can avoid it.

The overall consensus here is the redesign remodel make over made it to the grave is as far as it got.Definitely no mall atmosphere stores are linked but not under a common roof sort a speak. One good thing I can think of off the top of my head is when shopping here I can get in and get out of the stores I only want to shop at without having to maneuver through a mall.I personally don't think this shopping center is tasteful however it does attract people who are into the middle of the road commercial mass produced food, movies, clothing, and much much more. It is a shopping center and not a mall however it boasts of Marshall and Ross stores,Kohl department store, Cabellas sporting goods , craft and hobby store , Target store,ULTA beauty and International Fitness Gym to name a few and then a plethora of quickie food to enjoy chains to your hearts content. There are many public restrooms throughout the center as well as being wheelchair accessible but I'm not so sure how friendly it would be traveling long distances to get from one place to another would be quite a task. One can easily see the Gateway Shopping Center from the street .There are no fees to park and lots of parking .There is little to no shade where parking is ,meaning no trees ,no cover, no parking structure . Its definitely a no frills place that's only redeeming virtue is the movie theater all across to the other side .It has many many many theaters with all the hippest coolest flicks out .They keep them coming all the time.Prices are standard for cinemas . Enjoy this cinema house clean easy to get around.Staff is always accommodating and courteous. The Gateway Center is freeway close and located in an area abundant with restaurants, stores ,entertainment...

This place used to be great, but since changing to an outdoor mall model (a very bad idea in a city where it rains and is cold most of the time) you won't find many shops of much interest and the environment at Gateway is very unpleasant, industrial feeling, and run down. The mall management kicked out (refused to renew or terminated early the leases) many of the best shops to make room for more outdoor anchors that don't fit well in this community anyway. The security staff is aloof, unhelpful, and looks like they need to wake up from their coma and get some better fitting uniforms, despite Gateway being a higher crime area. This seems to be possible because paying customers to Gateway mostly dried up during the year long construction project where they pretty much closed the place, forcing people to find new places to shop. The remodel was finished years ago and much of the mall still looks like it's either abandoned or under construction. I avoid going there anymore unless I have no choice. You're better off going to Valley River Center just a few minutes away in Eugene via Beltline. Far more shops, better shops, better selection, more comfortable atmosphere, and an overall better experience. They do have Cabela's, Target, Hobby Lobby, and a decent movie theater at Gateway, which is why I'd give them a single star instead of none. Without those few stores, which existed all but one before the remodel, there wouldn't be a reason for most people to ever go to Gateway Mall, aka The Shoppes at Gateway. I hope a new company buys it one day and brings it back to life after Rouse Properties killed it. It would be nice to have a real mall back in...

Few nice places to find a bite to eat when you don't feel like cooking. Great place to find gifts for almost anyone. --Update to my post Security is not polite they will just threaten to trespass you instead of even saying Hello first. I was sitting in a shady spot(almost 90 not nefarious) in the very un-used old sears parking lot eating a sandwich, had not even turned the car off. She rolled up behind me and flicked the lights on.. after a min i rolled my window down and motioned the security officer to come forward all they did was honk, i motioned again.. they pulled up rolled the window of the patrol truck down and proceeded to tell me i could not park "there" I said i am not parked the car is running ac is on ( unable to finish i just stopped in the shade to wolf down a sandwich on the way home.. that i purchased at the mall) then she just up and threatened to tress pass me. what do you say to that with a mouthful of mall food but ok) literally on my last two bites and she pulled IN front of me trying to obstruct me from leaving... really was just stopped there to stuff my face and go. have done the same thing many days over the last 35 years that the mall has been there. The mall management really needs to vet who the people they hire for security are. So rude right from the start, no can you please move somewhere else, just right to YOU KNOW I COULD...
