After seeing Higher Level Fitness's 6-week challenge on Instagram, I decided to take them up on their challenge. I was tired of seeing my weight fluctuate upwards; something I have never had to deal with before! When you are not used to carrying around extra weight and not knowing how to lose it, the weight begins to take a toll on your health and mind. Although this kind of program is completely new to me, I knew I had to sign up for it! I must admit, my favorite part is the unique stretching at the end of each workout session. After all the hard work you just put into your workout, stretching is so satisfying to the muscles and your mind. (Love the calming music at this time too) It's been 3 weeks since I started this program and I have seen fat loss in the double digits, I sleep better, have learned proper movement with each exercise, at times I have more energy but feel tired at times as I am still adjusting to the program. One surprising benefit so far; I learned that I have more will power than I thought I had! I have been tempted several times to deviate from the nutrition part but did not give in because then I would never know if this program worked or not. My mind is set on losing weight, a healthier body & mind, gaining self discipline, and changing the way I see food and myself. Coach Hristo and Coach Tracey truly have a passion for what they do! Thank you for the detailed explanations of how to correctly do each exercise and suggestions on how to make some of your meals more satisfying to eat etc., as Coach Tracey says, "be creative"! If you forget how to correctly perform an exercise move, as I have during the workouts or forget which station to go to next etc., just ask for assistance, as each Coach or member in the Program will gladly help you out. It may seem intimidating at first once you start if you are completely new to this type of program or working out but stick with it, the Coaches are there watching you and do support you. We are in and doing this together is the attitude...

There is a lot to Love about the program first Patti and Hristo are amazing coaches. They are always willing to explain things and help you understand the bigger picture when it comes to fitness, nutrition, and your overall wellbeing. Giving you the tools so you can take power and control of your own health. I would not have been able to come this far on my own and for that I am forever thankful to both of them. I have lost 16lbs in 6 weeks so I am super happy about that of course. I feel much happier, I sleep better, I have more energy for life and my 5 children who give me a new challenge (seems like every 5 minutesš) My body is stronger and resilient in just 6 short weeks. Just working on myself, I see others around me questioning their own health, so I am helping to inspire them also, which is a nice feeling.

Do not wait any longer for this or for it to be the right moment. I only wish I would have done something sooner. I was sooooooo sooooo nervous as I never had been to a gym in my life or used gym equipment at all. I did not sleep well 2 night prior to my first session. I was really out of my comfort zone. Although I have been fairly active throughout my life, I just wasnāt feeling great. My diet wasnāt the best and I suffered from headaches and stomach issues. I had recently learned the benefits of building muscle and bone density as a woman ages, but I knew I couldnāt do it on my own. I needed someone to guide me and more importantly, to hold me accountable. After seeing a post through Facebook I decided to give HLF a try and joined the 6 week challenge.
Joining HLF has been one of the best things I have done for myself. Not only have I lost weight, but Iāve also lost a large amount of body fat. Iāve brought my visceral fat levels down into the healthy range, and have gained leaned muscles. My body is becoming more toned and I have more energy than I have had in a long time. Another bonus is the decrease in the amount of headaches and my frequent stomach issues have disappeared.
Being a part of HLF has been nothing but positive. From the training staff, to the administration staff, to the other gym members I find myself surrounded by supportive, positive, and encouraging people. This is what I was needing to help me get on track. The gym has members of all ages and fitness abilities and everyone feels welcomed when they enter the gym.
Being a member of the HLF family has been amazing. I look forward to my workout days and always feel amazing afterwards. The feeling of becoming stronger is amazing, but being part of this community has helped to build my overall confidence as well.
