.ZACK — Attraction in St. Louis

My wife and I had our wedding reception here. The venue itself was great! It is a beautiful location. My wife particularly loved the bathroom suite, however it was not made available to us the morning of the wedding. I asked if we could have key cards to access the room for my wife and her bridesmaids and we were denied. The response we received was "they are only for plays/theater productions," although the contract we signed stated that key cards were available.

Fast forward to the reception. We had about 15 people not show up the reception. That being said, the buffet line still ran out of food. We served chicken, potatoes, and green beans/carrots. The caterer ran out of potatoes with about 20-30 people still in line. The chef did whip up some brussel sprouts, but that was not what we paid for and the majority of our guests did not want to wait so they went without. I did not get to finish my meal with my beautiful bride because I was too busy tracking down the catering staff and ensuring that all of our guests did not leave hungry.

We did contact the caterer directly with our concerns. Their response was "some of your guests over served themselves." About 1/3 of our guests that we paid to eat (whether present or not) did not receive all of the food items on the menu. Either the guests that did get to eat had their plates stacked to the ceiling or the serving sizes were estimated too small. There is no excuse for running out of food based on the amount of money we paid to host our event and the caterer's restaurant being in the same building. No reimbursement or alternative was offered, we were just stuck with the bill and...

This is a multi purpose venue. The .Zack Theatre is at the main entrance. Box Office is to the immediate left and the bar is straight ahead.

Turn a wonderful restaurant is to the immediate right. They have a stand at their entrance to get a table for breakfast. They cater many of the private events. (Magnificent juicy steak & chicken at the last party. Also the prettiest hors d'oeuvres.)

On the upper level is a private access space including the ballroom with view of the Gateway Arch. This is a converted loft to event venue used for performances, fashion shows, & fabulous weddings.

There is a private roof garden, Arch view. For intimate gatherings.

The flights between the entrance level (.Zack Theatre and Turn) and the rooftop garden are private offices & art spaces used by the artist in residence of KAF. Including an intimate bar & balcony for private parties or meetings.

I would not recommend, the staff is horrible, when you pay a lot of money your help that's doing food should be dressed better than a tshirt and jeans, while eating appetizers they ran out of plates , none on the food tables, food ran out several times, took awhile for them to put more food out, got a glass of soda that was half full as well as the drinks, elevator stopped working was fixed but in the mean while people had to walk down 4 flights of steps, one of the helpers called the bride a bridezilla to one of the bridesmaids, I would not recommend this place at...
