I booked my stay on their website and I was looking forward to it! The appeal of this place definitely caught my eye and I had the hope of it being a relaxing stay.
I booked the Queen: Green Queen Room for 2 Nights. It Sleeps 2 and had 1 Queen bed. Check-in was After 4:00 PM and Check-out was Before 12:00 PM. The Total Cost was $301.70.
When my significant other, her service dog, and I arrived, there was Check-In Parking near the entrance. To Check In, we had to take The Elevator To The 12th Floor. After we got up there, we took a left turn and it led us to Guest Reception. Unfortunately, there wasn’t anyone there to check us in. It took a little bit before anyone got there to help us, so that was a bummer. We were given a parking tag. Parking Rates were listed by the parking lot and for Hotel Guest Overnight Parking, it was $17.00. That was also a bummer. We were assigned Room # 903. Wi-Fi was free to use, so that was convenient.
The room looked great at first, but it had silly details that could have easily been repaired. There was ample space for all of us. The bed was comfortable. I slept great each night. The shower was clean and refreshing. The water pressure throughout was good. The modern desk space was convenient. It was nice to sit down and get things done there. The room was great.
Fitness Center was near the entrance, so that was convenient. I had to use my room card to gain access to it. Fitness didn’t have a lot of options, but it did the job.
I wanted to further explore the property in hopes to find something to eat. On 7/7/24, we landed at Art Bar. We were able to seat ourselves and settled at a table towards the corner. No one came to the table to serve us, so we went to the bar area assuming that was the proper way to order there. It took awhile for someone to take our order. After quite some time, we were eventually able to place our order. From the Zero Proof section, I went with the Summer Breeze. It was Pineapple | Sage Simple Syrup | Sage Leaf. It was 7, which seemed a bit steep. I also went with 1 Margarita made with Jose Cuervo Tradicional Plata, which was $13.00 and the Smoked Chicken Flatbread. This was Topped with smoked chicken, and bacon on a creamy spinach and cream cheese base. It was 15, which seemed a bit steep as well. The drinks came out fast. The Summer Breeze was good, but small. It was definitely overpriced in my opinion. The Margarita was also small. It was terrible. It barely had any flavor to it. The Flatbread came out not too long after. It wasn’t as big as I hoped it would be. It was simply okay, but the quality didn’t match the price. Our server didn’t acknowledge us as much as I would have liked her to. This place was a bust and a waste of money. I felt ripped off.
The service was a hit or a miss throughout my stay. Some employees were hospitable and some came across as rude.
Overall, this place had ups and downs, but I had a decent stay. I would consider staying here again in the future if the price was right.

Read moreI very much love the theme of this hotel and the aesthetic of it. The room and the rooftop are breathtaking, and my love for STL and Grand Center make me want to recommend this place to all visitors. However, my group experienced so many problems that I can’t give it the review I wish I could. For starters, the service at the bar is awful. Plan to wait close to 20 min every time you order, and anticipate you’ll get the wrong drink. I’ve been here 4 times, and it’s been the exact same experience every time. Next, I checked in on a Saturday, the weekend that a music festival was happening down the street, and obviously several participants and attendees (myself and group included) were staying here. There was ONE person at the front desk at noon on a Saturday during a major event. It took 35 minutes for me to even be acknowledged, and a huge line formed in the lobby. I was given my room key and went up to find my room filthy, as it hadn’t been cleaned yet. It remained untouched for 4 more hours. Luckily my friends already had a room from the night before, but if they didn’t have a place for us to be we would have been totally miserable. The manager then talked to me in the hallway and got heated when he learned I had gotten my key early, before the room was cleaned (despite it remaining in cleaned for several hours after this convo). After snapping at me, he apologized with food and drink vouchers and a bottle was sent to the room, which was appreciated after the many inconveniences. However, when we went to use our breakfast vouchers the next morning there was again ONE PERSON working the entire restaurant. Please, just be closed if you don’t have proper staff. The poor server was running in circles trying to handle and entire restaurant alone, which is garbage. Errors obviously happened and it wasn’t a good experience at all. On top of all of this, my friend chose to extend her stay an additional night, was told over the phone by the front desk that she could keep her room (which was the only reason she was staying, to enjoy that room and not have to move around). They then asked her to come down and check out and re-check in, at which point they informed her after charging her for another night that she had to switch rooms. It was half the size and more expensive. There are clearly several issues with the front desk staff no having a clue what they’re doing and the place definitely felt unprofessional and understaffed, which was a huge shame with so many out of towners staying there that weekend. I hope none of them had as rough of a go as we did, but damn. You guys need to figure out a better system…I wouldn’t be compelled to complain if the rooms hadn’t been super expensive and the issues weren’t...
Read moreIf I could give this place a negative -5 stars I would. I had a confirmed reservation at the Angad Arts hotel in St Louis Missouri April 29th and was coming to St louis for an event from ohio. I spoke with Amber who is the manager of the establishment and she advised to me in advance that I could pay cash for the room due to the room charge being more than the credit limit on my credit card and she said I was able to use my credit card for any incidental charges. I was looking forward to staying at this hotel for months up until my arrival, I was immediately stopped in the hallway by an employee as I was looking for the front desk so I can check in. I told the gentleman I had a reservation for April 29th. He immediately told me that there's notes in the system to not accept cash and to do card only for the full transaction of the cost of the hotel. I was confused about his response as I've already confirmed my reservation and situation with Amber a few times she advised to me that she would be able to honor the request to accept cash for the room and to pay the incidental charges on my credit card and to ask for her upon my arrival. The guy kept repeating the same thing advising there's nothing he can do and that his hands are tied. I requested for him to call Amber because this was not what i was told so he calls someone which could have been anyone and he said that she said the same thing that's listed in the notes. I requested to speak with her myself and he refused and kept repeating himself saying that his hands are tied and that the notes say can't accept cash with a weird smile on his face. The man was not helpful and he gave off a weird vibe that felt discriminatory. This was a huge disappointment as I've been lied to and traveled a far distance looking forward to staying at the hotel. The hotel was unprofessional and also has a history of guaranteeing requests to customers and upon arrival not honoring their word. This was the worst experience I have ever experienced from any hotel in my entire life not only that but later came across a video on tiktok from another guest that stayed at the Angad arts hotel and in the video she showed a book that's included in the rooms from the hotel that showed weird pictures of naked children. Overall the hotel gave me a dark eery vibe and the location doesn't seem the best as the area appeared ghetto where people may feel uncomfortable. Would not recommend this hotel to...
