I have been torn as to whether to give a review or not but I got a text asking for one. I first saw Ingrid for micro bladed eyebrows because A LOT of my friends have them and love them and prior estheticians have told me I should try it. I know pretty well what they should look like. I also was very interested in their other services and loved the vibe. Anyway, I was booked with Ingrid, who I think may not be there any longer. She was rude and pushy. She told me I was not a candidate for micro blading because my skin is oily (it’s combo actually) and said she’d do (didn’t ask) combo brows (I hadn’t even heard of those) and I agreed trusting she knew her stuff. She did not numb my brows at all and my eyes watered like crazy the WHOLE time (not sure how people get actual face tats). After she was done I told her they looked crooked. She had literally SHAVED off the end half of my natural brows and created a new line. She told me “they’ll heal fine, trust the process.” Okay…. Two weeks later they still looked ridiculous and the one you couldn’t see because it was awkwardly behind my eyebrow bone. My friend who is an esthetician eyebrow bar owner said they weren’t right. Of course, I’d spent a ton of money! I reach out with pics and am told “trust the process, they’re still healing”. I then get a call that Ingrid has extended her Brazilian vacation for weeks and I’m being rescheduled with Alexis (at this point I’m just happy for someone new) for the touch up. I’m told any issues will be addressed then. Alexis is the sweetest!!!! I was perfectly numb, she listened although was careful not to disagree with Ingrid), fixed the lopsidedness, and I really liked them when I left. However, not even a month later they started fading - I called and sent pictures. It was so bad my right eyebrow just ended halfway and the left top half was a whole different shade let alone the fact my natural hair line grows under the new powder brow. I followed the after care instructions to a tee! To be clear, I was NEVER told this was a risk and I even asked Ingrid how long they’d last “at least 9 months to a year” (it hurt so bad the first time I didn’t want many repeats). I was told at that point after clear issues that I needed another touch up for $75. I nearly choked - I’m having to pay for their service not working? I agreed to pay $50 and no one told Alexis so I still ended up paying $70 after tip. I have pictures of the fading and Alexis took them too for the owner to show her the fading. All to say, Alexis is very sweet and she did her best but Ingrid was rude and wasn’t forthcoming about risks it wouldn’t take (my friends are still shocked that I couldn’t get the micro blading but what do we all know….). I feel like I’ve been cheated out of money and there was no ownership of the first bad experience although I made it known. Anyway, I’m really hoping they stay this time for the time they promised - if they do then I’ll be happy enough! If they don’t, I’ll be very upset. Either way, I’m not going back.
