My usual barber disappeared temporarily, so I went searching for someone reasonable and local, and after some bumping around, ran into Grand Center. It's a classic, cluttered, no-frills barber shop, exactly what I wanted. The barbers will talk, or not, as you prefer, and mine did an excellent job on a long-overdue trim! It is $25 for a men's cut, which is a lot for me -- my usual charges $11 -- but they definitely earn their pay in here.
