The Grandel — Attraction in St. Louis

We went to see Chris Redd last evening at the Grandel. I’m not sure if it was the staff hired by the venue or his production team, but we weren’t allowed to leave our seats for 2 hours so we didn’t mess up filming. I’m 34.5 weeks pregnant and cannot sit that long so towards the end of the show, I tried to leave to use the restroom. I was physically accosted by a staff member and told to sit back down. I told her I was pregnant and she continued to shush me and tried to get me to sit down again. Finally after I very sternly said I would not be sitting down in my seat again, she let me go. The Grandel is a beautiful venue nestled in the heart of the Grand theater district. Converted from an old church building, the Grandel now hosts a variety of different acts and shows; everything from bands and plays to the occasional St. Louis ballet production. Like with any other venue in the Grand theater district, parking can be tricky to find, especially if there are other shows going on simultaneously at any of the other many theaters in the area, so leave a little early to insure ample time to find a parking spot before your show. The grandel is located in Grand center art district.The grandal has a excellent theater. The grandal also have a dark room with a full service bar and restaurant with a rotating gallery with photography exhibit.Free music and a grand hall you can rent for any event.As for my experience at the grandal my granddaughter was performing with a dance company call African Lolo. The performance was out this world the costumes was very colorful. I had a great experience at the grandal. I am sorry I did not get any videos or pictures.
