Wonderful new dining addition in the theater district!!! My dinner companion and I were on our way to The Fabulous Fox but were running a half hour late than our usual planned arrival. This put us in a crunch to find dinner. We literally stumbled upon Grand Mediterranean and what a serendipitous delight this was! It was the grand opening of Grand Mediterranean! We were greeted like family. We were overjoyed by the level of service and hospitality. The food: it is Turkish. I was heretofore unfamiliar. It’s a fast casual option, so you make your selections from an electronic menu kiosk. The options are Doner which are described as Turkish gyros and that’s what we had. They were fabulous! There are also menu sections for wraps, salads, appetizers, and a few dessert items. Canned soft drinks and bottled water are available. You can upgrade your ala carte to a meal with fries and a drink. Most items are around $10 and it’s another five for the addition of fries and drink. The fries are fantastic. I recommend you add them to your doner or wrap. Very happy to have found this place. I will be visiting again very soon! Welcome, Grand Mediterranean! I’m so glad...
Read moreWe have no idea how this restaurant gets so many 5-star reviews. It was our first and last time coming. First, we waited at the counter for a while before someone came out of the back. We had questions so didn't order at the kiosk. Even when they brought our food out, we asked where the utensils were, and they pointed. Yes, it's self-service, but we thought they'd just grab them since it was 5 ft away. We still would've come back at that point. Then, there's the food. We love, love, love doner. We lived overseas where they do them well. The owners are from that part of the world, so the food should be awesome and authentic here. We were disappointed with our first bite. The pita bread and especially the doner meat just tasted old and sad and dry. There was hardly no sauce. The lettuce was old. The only thing that was fresh were the onions. If we hadn't paid for the food and needed dinner before a show, we wouldn't have eaten it. Just not good. We had so much hope for this place with the reviews, but save your money and head to Medina Grill or to another better restaurant in the area. There are so many great places from...
Read moreI recently dined at Grand Mediterranean , and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a mix of modern decor and Mediterranean charm.
The menu offered a variety of authentic Mediterranean dishes, and everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. The hummus was creamy and rich, paired perfectly with the warm pita bread. For the main course, I had the Adana kebabs, which were tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection.
The service was outstanding as well. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to provide recommendations based on our tastes. The meal was well-paced, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing.
To top it off, we tried the baklava for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending to a great meal. Overall, Grand Mediterranean is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Mediterranean cuisine in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be...
