I live nearby and eat here multiple times a week (sometimes more than once in a day). The food is great (The cuban sandwich is amazing!) , the staff is friendly, the wait times are short. I don't understand all of these bad reviews. I've eaten here 100+ times over the past 3 years and had an order wrong exactly once (and that was just brown gravy instead of country gravy on my country fried steak, which is another AWESOME meal). The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. My only complaint is that I don't care for the french fries they serve here, but I can always sub in the breakfast cubed potatoes which is a great option.
I often notice customers who come in and ignore the signs that read "please wait to be seated" and then get mad when they aren't seen quickly after seating themselves. Probably those same people who think they are entitled to make their own rules that are leaving these bad reviews. Also, don't show up in the middle of a Fox rush and expect to drop in not have a wait time, eat quickly, and move out before your show starts. You need to be smarter and plan ahead. The general rule is 2 hours before showtime.
The $4 early bird (8a-10a M-F) special is a great deal.
I've brought many friends & family to dine here and everyone has enjoyed it and started to come back on their own. It's great...
Read moreI will NEVER eat here again. They brought me out an omelette....with sour, fermented, rotting mushrooms in it. You didnt even have to get close to the plate. When I explained this, the manager said, "sorry, we can open a fresh pack and make you one from there." No, you will not. If you had the audacity to serve something I could smell when she sat the plate down, you don't have my confidence anymore. It's like a reali version of Kitchen Nightmares. I should have known from the smell of mildew in the bathrooms. Avoid this place if you want to enjoy your show and the rest of your weekend. My gf told the waitress the lemons tasted off and made the water taste weird, she smiled, then grimaced and said, "I know" sheepishly. She can't do anything about the quality that they are giving out and the manager said, I'll give you a discount. How about you keep it, and use to it fund some overtime to have a staff meeting to discuss this mediocre service. If this place wasnt next door to the theater, it would be am abandoned storefront. And...
Read moreWe ate here prior to a show at the Fabulous Fox theatre. The Grill opened at 11:00 a.m. we arrived a shortly after they opened, and discovered they were slammed! There were people standing and sitting against the windows on the far side of the restaurant. The hostess informed us it was an hour wait to be seated, and we stuck it out. One of the servers informed us that on that particular day they had a line of patrons waiting outside well before they opened. While we waited they gave us complementary coffee, it was freezing outside that day, and while we stood there we grabbed a menu and decided what to order, so once we were seated it could be submitted immediately. The restaurant was clean. The servers were cordial and professional. The bartender provided entertaining conversation. Overall it was a pleasant experience, and, yes, the wait can drive away business, but for those attending a show at the Fox it is...
