Will never return and I’ve been a customer since the day they opened even before they had the bakery. My fave bud tenders were April, Michael, and Ali. I go today to use a coupon sent to me FROM STARBUDS yesterday 2/21. My order is about $140. I let them know I have the coupon, she immediately tries to talk me out of using it. Umm no, I drove out of my way to shop here, I’m using it. So no problem, rings me up, goes to get the manager to enter the discount. The manager condescendingly tells me oh, you must have used It. Umm between today and yesterday? I don’t think so. Then she continues to try to play with my intelligence and convince me that I’ve used it. When that doesn’t work she tells me well I did use it, back in December. Well, it was Christmas I’m sure they did send out a coupon almost 3 months ago. This is FEBRUARY. Why send me a coupon that I can’t use. With a link to verify my bday and everything. Then she decidedly well i can give you 30% off for the inconvenience. After talking to me like I’m an idiot? No thanks. Her name is Alana (since she wouldn’t give it to me, like literally refused) and I’ll never ever go back. I drove 39 min out of my way to come here because I like it and prefer to spend $ here. Especially if I can get a deal. But, there is a great dispensary right around th corner from my house AND by my job in Kane County and a new one in Willowbrook. No one is hurting for weed deals anymore. Updated: I was directly asked to take down my review in exchange for mj. I get the feeling the overall google rating is due to this. I dislike dishonesty more than the lack of consistency. I know all places try to get better reviews.
Dropped to 1 star due to terrible response, new issues arising (make sure you are earning your loyalty points, I guess they switched platforms some time back), and bad experience at the dispensary itself (there was an altercation with a bud tender, which I did NOT expect) when I gave it one last chance in person.
Original issues: Inconsistent inventory, muddled procedures for online ordering, poor communication around expectations.
-Expect to buy something you love somewhere else. They are not great with keeping the same products in stock. (Have gotten old prerolls a couple of times but it's very rare that they are expired) Online ordering is inconsistent. Let’s just start with how amazing the staff is here. They’re so knowledgeable about product. They’re like going to see your friends or your regular guy before it was legal. They’re always kind and full of advice and tips on the products and that’s why I ALWAYS return.
Michael, the manager is always on top of everything and has GREAT Recs of what’s not only gonna taste great, but what has that best scent. YaYa knows he’s my guy, he’s always got a smile and great vibes. Theo💕 met her most recently and she was so kind and helpful with what other things were hot in the shop rn. She showed me some prerolls I’d highly recommend to friends and I’m not usually a fan of prerolls. Nydira(?) hope I spelled that right, that’s my girl man. She’s always full of smiles and good vibes like Yaya and she has helped me make the best choices on strains when my girls faves were outta stock. I think it was Ali who yelled at me about leaving my dog in the car hahaha and i appreciated how much he cared as human and a father.
