Our visit to this Los Comales location did not meet our expectations. There was a guy at the door who was talking to himself and dancing with headphones in when we entered. We weren’t sure if he worked there at first because he didn’t acknowledge us or say anything so we walked past him. He ended up seating people very sloppily after us. The waitress seemed pretty irritated that we were in there. She only came by twice to take the order and serve the food and that was it. The place was not busy. There were multiple outside solicitors who came into the restaurant to sell things, which was surprising and unnecessary, especially since they had the “bouncer” guy at the door. The food was bland and simple, unlike the Bridgeview location. We only came to the Burbank location because Bridgeview is temporarily closed. We waited awhile for the check that never came, so we got up and went to the register to pay. The people behind us in their booth had the check handed to them at their table so that whole process was pretty confusing. The music was kind of loud and there were ad breaks every few songs. At one point, someone must have clicked a DIY video instead of a music video. Instead of changing it, they just let it play. It was a very odd experience at this restaurant and I personally will not be returning. The food was not worth the price and the service was pretty bad.

A Five-Star Gem: Los Comales Restaurant in Burbank, Illinois Dining at Los Comales Restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. The food was absolutely phenomenal, crafted and presented with a gourmet touch that elevated every dish beyond expectations. The authentic flavors transported me straight to Mexico, making this not your typical taqueria but an exceptional culinary experience. The waitstaff were attentive and wonderful, ensuring our dining experience was seamless from start to finish. What truly set this experience apart was a personal visit from the owner and chef, Don Ramiro. His warm hospitality and genuine interest in our satisfaction added a special touch that you rarely find in restaurants today. Don Ramiro and his team have created something truly magical here. Gordon Ramsay himself would undoubtedly rave about this place! I wholeheartedly give Los Comales a 5-star rating and highly recommend it to anyone seeking authentic Mexican cuisine with a gourmet flair. Bravo to Don Ramiro and his incredible staff!

We live in downtown Chicago but had an appointment in the area, ended up stopping here on a whim and am so glad we did! Honestly we'll probably rent a car just to come out here to go to this restaurant again! The table came not only with the usual free chips and salsa but also with some soup and fried pork skins which was a nice surprise. The food was excellent, nothing like what we can find in downtown Chicago! The vibe is great, staff very friendly. The real medal winner for me was the free salsa bar! Really cool setup, lots of different options all of which were very delicious! Definitely a 10/10!

I had never done this before, but this left me no choice. We were there recently, a party of 4. Our first server was a sweet, but inexperienced waitress (we could tell she had no training at all) not a big deal; we proceeded to order pozole and a after a minute she returned to tell us they didn't have pozole, then we ordered costillas (ribs) and she returned again to tell us they didn't have it either. We should have left at this point, but we settle for 2 carne en su jugo, fajitas and enchiladas verdes. After a wait of 40 minutes the enchiladas were brought, but they were red not green as requested, we let it go. Another 10 minutes and 1 carne en su jugo was brought with all the topping inside, I told the waitress I didn't eat radish so to please bring me another plate with all the topping on the side, she left and a blond, visibly upset waitress returned to tell me "that's the way we serve it here" I told her I didn't eat radish and she rudely left. At this point we all were very uncomfortable with the service so I requested to speak to the manager. I was told the manager was the cooker and he refused to talk to me so I cancel 1 carne en su jugo. 10 minutes later the ribs arrived and the same blond waitress rudely let the plate dropped on the table and left (no apology). Another 10 minutes passed and the last carne en su jugo arrived (again with all the toppings inside) and cold to the touch! We barely ate anymore and were charged about $53.00 for wrong orders, bad food and rude service! But that's not all, before leaving a patron told us the manager wasn't the cooker as we were told, but a blond lady who was visibly drunk and dancing with the waitresses in the establishment. We were Appalled - No wonder we couldn't complain to anybody. In short, our WORST...

Went here a few hours before closing time as I was craving tacos but didn’t want to get out of the car with my baby. I read on the reviews that the drive through was slow so I wasn’t shocked at the wait, but I was more so shocked at the setup of the parking lot. Grateful for the drive thru but the parking lot of way too small for it . I didn’t go in the inside but from what I can see it seemed to have a nice vibe. I ordered the quesobirria tacos and an al pastor quesadilla with avocados. Unfortunately this is my least favorite Quesobirria in Chicago so far. Extremely SOGGY. I pulled over and ate it in the parking lot and it was so soft before even dipping it. It was like they dipped the shells in the consume and just made the taco. They were not grilled/seated AT ALL. The meat and consume were not very flavorful and the meat wasn’t properly trimmed (picked out several pieces of fat or membrane) and it was easy to put apart but they should have shredded it completely first as there were large hunks of meat. To top it off they also had them quesadilla style instead of folded like a taco making it extremely difficult to eat with how soft and soggy it was. Ironically enough, my quesadilla was folded like a taco, BUT…the “quesadilla” saved this review. They could be known for that Al pastor. It was the perfect size for the price and the addition of avocado took it from a 9 to a 10. So much flavors I’d 100% go back for more of that , but I’d go inside...
